Yes, because Nazi comparisons always yield positive and productive results.
Boss: "Well... of course we don't want to be Nazis!!! Cut-offs and Phish T-shirts for everyone!!!!! No no, use my bong, I insist! Would a Nazi offer to let you use his bong? I THINK NOT!"
I read somewhere that one of the artists working on the Final Fantasy movie said they were at the point, technologically, where their renders were actually looking MORE real than film, which is why they look kind of odd when you look at them. Not because you can see the shortcomings of 3D animation when juxtaposed with the real world, but because you can now see the hyperreality of the 3D world.
... that this would fall under the "unauthorized access to computer systems" clause of numerous anti-hacking laws, whether any physical access was made or not.
Now, prosecuting, or even getting the feds to listen to your sob story is another thing, considering no damage was done. The FBI quotes (IIRC) a $5k minimum on damages before they'll even talk to you, but in reality, you'd have to approach $100k or so, and be willing to air your company's lackluster security in the court of law, and of public opinion.
A mile or so away from Sun, the men find a small network at a building belonging to Nortel Networks Corp., which, among other things, sells VPN software. They can spot the network from the street; when they pull into the Nortel parking lot, Mr. Peterson was able to sit in the car and surf the Web, courtesy of Nortel's network. (Nortel wouldn't comment.)
When a VPN vendor doesn't even use it's own software, it looks like it's time to pick a new VPN vendor...;-)
"Just wait until the KKK can begin brewing their own perfect children."
To have a perfect clone, wouldn't one have to start with a perfect original? Good like finding anything remotely resembling "adequate," let alone "perfect," in the KKK.;-)

Voila, instant Dvorak keyboard.
Ever hear of detecting a loss in signal strength?
I take it you're not playing Diablo 2 on a desktop...
More human than human...
The CIA wouldn't do something like this. They're too busy propping up banana republics and fighting South American druglords (competition sucks). ;)
So, they're getting easier to get, or the Feds don't mind jumping through those hoops so much anymore.
I'm not sure which I find more disturbing.
Coming soon from OmegaMan Industries, LLC, is Booze-B-Gon, the corn liquor that helps you battle alcoholism!
Howth that thupothed to beat the competithion??? ;)
... you gotta love "Seperate Ways" in MIDI. Brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it... *sniff*
*shudder*
My company uses a Nortel VPN solution as well. Just seizing the opportunity to poke fun. :-p
The US is a FAR cry from "completely capitalist" and has been for years.
AUPs are a wonderful thing. :)

My phone has a Breakout clone on it, which is infinitely more entertaining that the snake game. ;)
Nintendo wouldn't need Sega for anything Mega Man related, since Mega Man is a Capcom property.
"I swear it's not encryption, officer! I just love sending massive amounts of gibberish across the network..."
Low rider != hydraulics
Why would the record industry care about DVDs? ;)
I call bullshit.
