    R.O.B. and the PowerGlove shouldn't be considered "add-ons" in the same vein as the PSX2 hard drive and the Sega CD, etc. They are peripherals, much like the light guns for every console system, which generally do fairly well. R.O.B. and the PowerGlove weren't doomed by the Curse of Console Add-Ons(TM), they were doomed because they were shitty peripherals.

    It DOES make it an issue, though, because despite any evidence of open relays, ORBs will list those who block them, purely out of spite. It's exactly that kind of childish activity which got them sued in the first place.

    I've TOSed my share of spammers, and they invariably try the "you're violating my first amendment rights!" argument, to which I reply "Sir, if I were elected to Congress, I'd be receiving a helluva lot more kickbacks."

    Any time they say "I have the right..." I quickly cut them off with a "nope."

    They had a list that was basically a spite-list of networks that refused to deal with a half-cocked vigilante. If you didn't allow ORBS to scan your network for open relays, you were placed on the list. I personally wouldn't allow anyone to scan my network.

    a) Already own a car and are not planning on purchasing another anytime soon.
    b) Are not interested in getting your high school diploma through the mail.
    c) Probably won't be purchasing any bras but wouldn't mind seeing more commercials for them.

    If the level of advertisement stays the same (or, perhaps, decreases due to successful targeting), this will be great. Less ads for crap I don't want to buy, more ads for crap I do. :)
