The reason for a termination isn't likely to be explicitly disclosed by Apple. To do that they would risk lawsuits. So yes, you'd see that they worked for Apple and now they don't. If you call Apple they might say they fired him (they may just say his employment was terminated and leave it at that), but they are unlikely to elaborate more than that for fear of being sued.

    Two more things

LD50 figures are frequently used as a general indicator of a substance's acute toxicity.

    From Median lethal dose

So of course LD50s measure toxicity. Your own retarded definition of "how much of a given substance will be lethal to half the test subjects" is toxicity. Perhaps you don't know what the word toxicity means?

Secondly, your nonsense about molecule weights, the difference between the molecular weight of caffeine and nicotine is small, 194 vs 162 g/mol. The difference in LD50 lethal dose is about 3 times.

I posted the LD50s for informational purposes. I made no comment on what it meant for the safety of e-cigs but I was merely responding to the comment in the summary that was stated as fact that nicotine was no more toxic than caffeine. That is clearly not true. So quit pretending to know what my motivation is and quit with your bullshit and irrelevant argument about molecule weight. Clearly you have no understanding of chemistry since substituted nicotine gives you a different fucking molecule.

    Asshole.

    Nicotine LD50: 50 mg/kg for rats and 3 mg/kg for mice. 40 - 60 mg (0.5-1.0 mg/kg) can be fatal for humans.

Caffeine LD50: 192 milligrams per kilogram in rats. Estimated to be about 150 to 200 milligrams per kilogram of body mass, roughly 80 to 100 cups of coffee for an average adult.

Nicotine is much more toxic to humans than caffeine.

I had a bad experience with a plumber one time. Should I say the entire profession is bad?

But this isn't one chiropractor, this is the British Chiropractic Association that claims to represent some (presumably large) portion of British Chiropractors. So no, one bad plumber doesn't reflect badly on all plumbers, but if a large plumbing association is behaving badly, it does reflect on all their members.

Actually, I don't think any of those athletes were pro. Pro != famous, you have to be paid to be pro. As for music, playwrights and actors, of course they had them, but without mass media, they didn't have kind of reach (for better or worse) as their modern counterparts.

And actually your example kinda reinforces my point that there are many people who were hailed in their time, but are now largely forgotten.

Yeah, it's tricky since there's no control experiment. If it wasn't for these conquerors the world today would be a very different place, but it's impossible to say if that would be better or worse. What we can probably say is that most of us wouldn't exist because I suspect that most everybody has a conqueror somewhere in their family tree.

Yeah, but they didn't have rock stars, pro-athletes and reality TV. David Beckham is worshiped in Bangkok. I'm sure lots of people were hailed in their time and then forgotten by history.

There are no Genghis Khans anymore, nor Alexander the Greats.

I'm not sure that isn't a good thing. Maybe you should pick some less psychotic examples.

Also I'd add that "greatness" is something that history tends to assess post-hoc. In 100 years time there maybe many 20th century luminaries who are considered as great and as significant as Genghis Khan or Alexander.

On the one hand it's telling the reader how to build a computer from components (a pretty advanced topic) and on the other hand it's hand-holding them through installing and using various softwares (a trivial topic - especially for somebody who knows how to build a computer from components). It seems like the book is simultaneously aimed at two different audiences.
