The dude admitted he spoke to them.
    That's your narrative.
    Case closed.

No, he didn't. The "dude" said he didn't know the group he spoke to was a supremacist group and apologized IF they were.

The reason he didn't know is because he didn't speak to the supremacist group. He spoke to a civics group. The only connection between the two groups was that the same man rented the same room for both groups. But the meetings were 2 1/2 hours apart.

I have no idea whether the man is a white supremacist or not. But I hope I'm not gullible enough to label him as such just because a bunch of lemmings are taking it an running toward the cliff with it.

The biggest problem I've seen is that people think computers are just mechanical. They don't understand that what makes a computer a computer is that it will react differently based on different sets of data.

    For example:

ME: Well, here's step 1 thru 5 if column A contains a number less than 100. But if column A contains a number between 101 and 500 then...

USER: WAIT! What are you, stupid? I just want the steps to make this happen.

ME: I'm sorry. You're beyond hel... er... I can't help you.

Java's purpose in life was to overcome platform dependence. How is it that .NET's Windows requirements are escaping the discussion?

Get your degree. It won't help you with the social environment, as some suggest. You should've learned that in kindergarten. If you didn't, it's too late now.

What a degree will do is open doors to interviews that won't open otherwise. I would get two, perhaps three times as many interviews if I had finished my degree.

Ultimately a degree won't help much in your job, but you can't prove yourself in a job if you can't even get an interview.

My CNE certification helped me move up the pay scale 4 years ago, but certifications are only good for about a year. After that nobody cares. On the other hand, a degree will benefit you forever.

If I could go back and do one thing different, I would finish my CS degree.

    All the best.
