    Isnt that how arcades work?

    Why cant the same apply to multiplayer games if the servers are provided by sony?

    No, hard media is not going away.

    Only in markets like US and EU, where broadband is mature will download media take over.

    I am curious, how is it that people in US get worse treatment from call centers in India, than people living in India itself. Personally I have not really had any bad experience with Indian call centers(though for some reason calls to MS seem to be routed to a US based call center from India.. weird)

    My 5770 HAWK edition is virtually silent unless you run furmark, or other stress testing tools..
    even then, I cant really hear it over the PSU,CPU,HDD's

    Wouldnt this problem be bypassed by handset makers selling phones with a vary basic(featurephone like) custom OS. Let the community develop Android for specific models, but make the phone hardware in such a way that it is easy for the community to develop for and customise.Then users can install Android on their own. Provide a backup ROM like some GPU makers provide to prevent bricking.

    Somewhat like selling laptops without an OS

    We have much better ones in India.. being in US, I guess you'll find better deals.. for students, maintain a QAB of Rs1000($20) and an annual charge of Rs100($2) and that it..

    Considering that most banks send a message for each transaction you make using a credit card, and call you up if there is a deviation from your normal expenditure habits, after the child has made a few wrong payments, it should be absolutely clear to the parent that something wrong is going on.. Though I dont understand how a child was able to charge their parents credit card. You need the CC number, CVV number, Date, Cardholders name, billing address and a secret password .. Mobile and IVR transactions require a one time password. If an 8 yr old managed to do the above correctly multiple times, he is a genius
