Now count the hours spend, add the costs of this being a project done by people are/have learned the ropes along the way of this project. Replace those factors with the hourly cost of a team of engineers and don't forget to call a insurance company for liability issues if your are offering this as a commercial service and all of a sudden we come to realize that education, labour and insurance cost more than the components your satellite + spaceship were made out of. This part wasn't exactly rocket science.

Befehl ist Befehl! You know the problem with the US? They haven't had a war on their own soil for too long. It's about time they get one. It will teach them that war is a bit less 'fun' when it's your kids that are being shot at from an apache. BTW: not following orders (or: befehl is befehl) was the nr. 1 argument that SS-soldiers had to say for themselves on the Nuremberg-trials.

No that is NOT what I am saying. Can agree with the rest of what you are saying, but let's make it clear: i hate productplacement, especially when it is so obvious. And the first name that comes to mind is Apple, by far the greatest bitch in this add-driven-world. And by far the most irritating. Always the camera has to be placed so the logo is in the middle of the screen. Sometimes we even do bets when watching particular shows... when the apple logo will appear. And it always comes. Never the bet is if: it is always when ;)

Let me get this straight. It's my fault if someone kills me in my home. I should have cared better about security? It's not the consumers fault for believing when they buy a pc with legal software they have everything they need. When I buy a new car, I'm not going to take it to a garage to check the brakes, you just assume it works. Not everybody knows a thing or 2 about software/hardware. No matter how you turn it. It's still the baddies fault.

Because it comes pre-installed. And a lot of people want/need something that works out of the box. They don't know about add-ons. They don't care about security, they just want to surf the web.

Nobody in Hollywood is going to give you free commercial time in their big productions. And especially not in 30% of all movies! Hell, nobody in Hollywood will give you anything free for that matter. These adds costs millions. And they cost millions because they know who the audience of a certain movie/show will be. A great way to get your product to the people that would buy it.

  16. Re:And it's fucking irritating on Apple Deemed Top of Movie Product Placement Charts · · Score: 2

I can agree with a lot of that, but that last sentence not. Especially in the case of Apple where every director has to have to logo more than 5 seconds but less than 10 on the screen. They actually alter the scene for that. So the logo is very obvious to spot. That's the irritating part. I don't care about a stack of ipads that are on top of eachother. It's the damn logo that has to be zoomed in on and preferable multiple times a show.
