    The patent in question is for generating a playoff bracket based on polls. Division II and III don't have polls, they use some formula based around record and strength of schedule, so they would not infringe. However, there's a hundred ways you could generate the brackets, this patent seems to cover a few of them but certainly not all. The main issue is that the NCAA doesn't seem to want a playoff system, so the desires of Mark Cuban and the patents of some dude in Arizona are pretty irrelevant.

    Generating them at random could be interesting.

    Yes.

    At first blush, I had the same answer as you. Actually, this falls into the "anybody can take anybody to court over anything" category. Playoff systems existed before those patents, before the patent holders were born too. This could all be moot if the NCAA continues to drag its feet for another 20 years, lets the patent expire, IIF it applies, and use the idea at that time.

    There are plenty of pieces of hardware that dont support IPv4. Unless you upgrade the hardware to a dual stack configuration. Routers, switches, etc arnt cheap.

    Just because the OS supports it, doesnt mean its going to be easy or cheap.

    So, fast is not out of the question? ;)

    Even as somebody that owns an iPhone, this was actually my first thought too. I don't have any major problems with AT&T in my area, so whatever.

    My ATT "problems" began when I switched from a Motorola phone to an iPhone. Rare phone specific issues, it has all been browser and apps that just shut off in the middle of use.

    My experience anyway.

    Good observation. This tempest sounds like a few people, with enough connections to news people, are convinced that the rest of the world *must* be as interested in this topic as they are. With that as their premise, they conclude Twitter is 'cheating.'

    No, I want the government to use more private business where it is appropriate. Is using private concessions in a public building that hard to understand? It exists now "in the wild". I had McDonald's in the Air and Space museum in DC a few years ago, believe it or not.

    Exactly and that fits into my suggestion above. I prefer Starbucks lack of WiFi censorship over Caribou's blocking of certain sites they deem inappropriate.

    The stockpiles are electrons to be limited by credits Countries with lots of electrons have to share them with countries that have fewer electrons.

    Substitute smoke for electrons if that makes it more understandable and gives a better visual for the hotline idea.

    Someone forgot to make a rule, that everybody will follow of course, not to mess with the IP phones used for the hotline. Can't mess with the networks they run on either!

    I have my phone doing this, if charged and plugged in it clocks to 1.2Ghz.

    Does it burn your face when you overclock it?
