We use Netbotz http://www.netbotz.com/ monitoring appliances for our server rooms, both the main datacenter and the alternate. We get SMTP mail, pagers, and cells...and the system has SNMP MIBs, so you can get MRTG graphs of the temperature, humidity and all enviromental variables.
You can get models with cameras, motion detectors, etc.
The Netgear firmware incorporates a feature to do such a thing, based on keywords in the URL.

Or the Seven Secrets Club? I read those in Spanish when I was a kid...great reads, and it was great that there was a large collection of those to avoid spending time without "new" literature...
Now, I wanted my kids to read those, but compared to Harry Potter...I don't think they have a chance, they seem to have little action compared to Potter.
You have your pricing upside down...DVDs are MUCH cheaper in Region 1 (USA) than in Region 4 (Latin America). So, we buy regionless DVD players in order to play cheap DVDs and the occasional renting of a region 4 one.
By Kernigham & Pike, covers using *nix from the command line, shell scripts, using a little bit of Lex & Yacc, and some source code management. IT IS dated, but it will give you a whole tour through the operating system from a "power user" perspective...forget all the wimpy GUI stuff. Highly Recommended, but too lazy to paste the Amazon link.
In Guatemala, the "free" ISP (http://www.intelnet.net.gt) doesn't charge for Internet access, but charges GTQ 0.35 (about USD 0.05) per minute of line use...
The Mayans of Central America also disappeared from the area, leaving their cities abandoned.

I just purchased this book (the CD-ROM-less edition) in Amazon.com Book Outlet for $1.99...somehow I felt it was the right price.
