What if the RIAA lawyers are all on our side all along, and they were filling up their positions incompetently just to prevent people who actually want to do damage from doing so?
I'm not trying to justify this whole charade, but Germany and Japan's WW2 leaders got kicked out by the Allies in 1945. Fidel Castro is still basically in power.
I have relatives who were around in World War 2 and they seem to have learned how to use a computer just fine. People who are resistant to change are the problem, not the elderly.
They are all methods of personal gain, but indirect ones - you extort money by threatening to use your method of destruction. I was using those examples to show how something which doesn't benefit you directly (like password locking a computer) can be used for personal gain.
Set up 2 random number generators, 1 from 1 to 20 and the other from 1 to 6. Roll the first one, and use the consonant that is at that position in the alphabet (not counting vowels, so 1 becomes b, 2 becomes c, 3 becomes d, 4 becomes f, etc). Roll the second one and do the same thing but with vowels. Alternate vowels and consonants for about 10-12 letters. You should end up with something like this:
dobamohaqes
Completely meaningless, but pronounceable and therefore easy to remember. If you want, you can add some funny capitalization or some numbers at the end.
Those type of hackers are rare and have less resources. There isn't any point in pure vandalism you see. In any case research has shown that it's not a primary motive.
Pure destruction without personal gain has its uses. See DOS attacks, pretty much every army in existence, terrorists, blackmailers, etc.
That's not the only instance when she speaks up. There are also those searches that Jack and Cloe were carrying out, and other things which I forgot. Look around here if you want:
Speaking of 24, I love how the one person who tried to express concern for the Bill of Rights (this is around 02:00-05:00 in the bioweapon crisis) was portrayed as a villain who only wants to slow the police down and kill thousands of innocent people.
And you're impractical. Quadrupeds can run up to 6 times as fast as you, you can get knocked over easily, and, since we're talking about a combat-oriented movie, you need to expose a lot of surface area to incoming enemy fire when you're running toward them.
You should not have to pay $100+ / pirate just to do something with your computer. Also, the very existence of Linux is making Windows better than it would otherwise be through competition.
I would suggest that if you are paranoid enough to warrant reviewing the entire source code to the OS you wish to choose, you should probably consider some type of therapy. Using computers will only exacerbate your underlying problems.
If you're the military, and you DON'T review every line of code in the software you use, you should seek therapy.

If electronic voting is more expensive than paper voting you're doing it wrong.

I find the color 190 190 255 quite "sexy", and it's almost white. Open up an image editor and try it. It would be good especially for roads I imagine.
Do you really need anything else?
It's not the belief system. It's the "must get to the next tier" mentality.

Your argument collapses when given the fact that building codes affect the interior of a house as well as the exterior.

And try building something on "your" property without first seeking permission like a good little child in grade 1.

Learning at a geometric rate is fun when the starting point is zero.
Screwed-up African country + $1 million for bribes and whatever else you might need can go a long way.
The problem is, I've seen "addicting" used as a positive marketing term. For example, see here
You mean the one that got canceled?
