    I would give you that graphics are important now, and it would be as hard to sell a text game as it would to have sell a pure CLI OS. but I really see no reason that should define major gaming. However, I also still think HD video is not half as good as people think it is.

    This should stand as proof that graphics should not be in the forefront of the entire gaming industry, they had graphics then and did much better giving a fully descriptive story as was needed. I really want to see some level of text based gaming come back. Hell it might be a great way to market a Wii Keyboard.

    I wouldn't call any of the recent 3-D any more 3-D than original DOOM, I'd refer to it as 2.5-D. Just because the images come out of the screen isn't any different unless the entirety does, like a holograph.

    They are smart enough to not put all their eggs in one basket, I see that as a plus for now.

    If they came out to do it as a scheme to buy off the competition, this may not be so good.

    How can they enforce someone else's copyright?

    Ask the RIAA or MPAA, I am sure they have a legal way to enforce copyrights that don't even belong to their members.

    Apparently in our justice system unless you just spontaneously do a crime with no premeditation whatsoever you are gonna get slapped with a charge for thinking about it on top of the charge itself. To this day I don't understand it.

    Then I was told wrong all the time growing up to "think before you speak/act."

    I was a ruse all along to make us bigger criminals.

    Now I will agree that the way these packages are advertised is ambiguous. IME however, that ambiguity is resolved in the small print, usually with something along the lines of "usage must be reasonable".

    If it says usage must be reasonable, then I want to know what "reasonable" means. If they can't give a clear definition then it's open game to reinterpret it however the situation dictates.

    Does anyone really care if corporate America is left in the dark ages? Let's face it - corporations are there to serve the public. When they fail to serve, they are forgotten and left behind. They will either adapt to what the consumers demand from the web, or they can abandon the web, and become part of history. No problem.

    America doesn't allow massive corporate failures to fail, it puts them on "business welfare"

    My grandmother made me put IE6 back of her computer because she didn't like the tabs at all. "Lack of tabs" isn't horrible its just a niche now to not want them.
