The temperature is up to 78 degrees or so, and the set temperature is almost 81. They left a note by the thermometer saying "TOO HOT! (We are going to play hockey.)" I think that's what it says, it's pretty hard to make out.

Have you been to Oddworld Inhabitants' web page recently? All traces of Hand of Odd have disappeared. It seems to be effectively dead, unfortunately.
Go to wetmachine.com and read the introduction to Cheap Complex Devices. Then read at least the first chapter of Acts of the Apostles. Or reverse the order of these steps. Does not the summary of The Bonehead Computer Museum seem eerily or suspiciously closely matching to that of Acts of the Apostles? This makes me more interested in each book, but also suspicious of the validity of Cheap Complex Devices. A quick search turns up no results for the Hofstadter Prize other than this very page.
It seems that Microsoft has enough influence to have secured the next four Oddworld games for the X-Box exclusively.

I was looking for some random stuff to try out with this, and I found that the last line of my high school's alma mater is also recursive in Italian.
"We are Xavier men forever as we hail the white and blue!"
The fight song is even worse. The Italian translation brings in Moscow and Victoria and has several recursive places.
