First of all change you name so it's not even close to your name or nick name and then you officially no longer have facebook! so if they ask for the password you can tell them, "Oh I don't have an account, sorry!", also make sure to change your display picture to someone other then you.
Marking code automatically is just as bad an idea as marking writing automatically, code just like an essay is an expression of the student, code doesn't have to be readable to be good but it does have to work with in constraints, just like writing, to make an essay you need to tone the topic with in boundaries and let your expression drive you.
I want to point out the music industry. If kids are listening to the complete crap put out by the top 40 then no wonder they can't string together a good sentence. Writing is driven from several sources, reading, interaction, listening and etc... by listening to music which doesn't have lyrical structure kids are imitating that down to the paper and hence what could of been a great paper is now a bunch of garbage that sounds like 50 cent trying to rap about shoes well double teaming two hoes.
Can they mention pigs because Jew's don't eat unblessed pork?. Can they mention the big bang because God created the universe in 7 days etc.... How far will this go, make the cry babies grow up and move into the 21st century!
Why does everything come down to the distraction and not the driver. A good driver won't be distracted by a scrolling map, won't answer there phone on the highway and etc....... How about changing the driving test to weed out the drivers who think the world is mario kart. I must get cut off or nearly tboned once a week by an idiot running a red, a stop sign or just not paying attention to the road. So how about getting the drivers who act like children off the road and reserve driving for those of us who can walk and talk at the same time.
What do we need a smaller SIM for, I can side with the microsim as it does save what appears to be wasted space, but who needs a smaller SIM? If this is a push towards making devices smaller and more compact then I think were going to far. Why not just get rid of the SIM and go SIM-L:ESS? It would be be a better solution to the issue.
I don't understand why people are so against Evolution. Evolution doesn't go against Creationism, it can work with it. So maybe a "God" kick started the entire process and then Evolution took over and did the rest. People who are against Evolution because it can't be proven, well I would ask them to produce proof that a "God" exists. The existence of a holy book doesn't prove anything, it proves someone wrote a book and they made up some characters, there is literally no difference from a harry potter book or the bible, both written and both read and your never going to meet the characters.
Evolution exists! it's a fact, science has proven that animals, humans, plants, planets and the universe has evolved over time, what science hasn't proven is the existence of "God", having an open ended question doesn't prove "God" it just means that we don't know where the beginning is.
Whats my point, simple Evolution and Creationism are both valid streams of understanding, if your going to teach one teach the other. I believe in both, something must have happened to launch the universe into motion, but nothing is stopping evolution from taking it the rest of the way. I'm glad that now Evolution has to be taught, Evolution has occurred, it's a valid proven science, if your going to teach Creationism you have to be fair and teach Evolution.
I thought maybe going to War over nothing made kids violent, I thought maybe pushing kids to draft so they can die for a country who doesn't care about them makes them violent. I thought bullying in schools made kids violent, maybe school shootings maybe low income, maybe rRacial issues make kids violent. No No it's video games, thank god someone solved this.
You shouldn't get reamed out for that, it's true and I can agree to every word you said. I'm in a small program at University of 4 people, we have 6 profs in total. Everyone in the program knows I use Linux on my Computers for numerous reasons but for the short version because it works. I have to use Libre office because Microsoft Office just isn't a viable solution for me. I know it can run using crossover but that's not a program I want to buy when I can just use Libre. For the most part documents and power points open perfectly fine with no issue. The issues come up when I'm sent documents that either have crazy formatting applied or some kind of embedded data in the document. I've ask thats everyone just save everything in doc or ppt etc... format and that no one uses crazy formatting. For the most part maybe 90%+ of the time there is no issue, it's the 10% that bothers me, all you have to do is to select the doc format when you save or the ppt format and there will be no issue.
I'm a Libre Office fan, it's one of the only good office solutions on the market as it's free and cross platform, something Microsoft Office can't say for itself;. My only lasting big peeve is that Libre can't seem to open a docx document with out having formatting / rendering issues. It also can't copy charts from a doc / docx and keep the chart in tact. Other then that's it's a bullet proof office suite, does any one have this issue or have a fix for this issue?
If they want to spy on me I don't care. However if they want to spy on me I shouldn't be paying for them to do it. What they could do is take part of my internet bill which I'm sure is padded with more then 100% profile and use that for there spying purpose. The other thing I'm wondering about is if they will do this via hardware or software, doing it via software would open up a new entire department of issues. I'm sure as hell not about to buy a hardware device so they can spy on me, if they want to spy they can pay for all the costs and do all the work, just don't expect me to do anything.
I'm confused on how a picture of a naked child is the same as the illustration of a naked child. Can they determine the age of the child exactly in the cartoon, if they can't then who says it can't be a 30 years old asian woman who looks young?
The traditional "good programming" method is actually a horrible programming method, if you can't read and understand your code like reading a book then your not really a "good programmer" and your not really a "talented programmer".
A compiler is one of the last steps in the process, you should know before you compile if your code will work. Interacting programming just helps people learn better programming. You can write C or Assembler and if you truly are a talented programmed you know well writing your code what will happen. When schools or even work places teach programming they teach it in a structures and very formal way, code like any language is an expression and it should be taught in the same way.
Would you teach an artist to paint by following numbers? Would you teach an english student to write but following a script? Then why teach programming by teaching strict methods and formal standards?
Good programming means looking past the code and writing code like you write book or paint a picture, you need to picture whats happening 10 steps ahead of where you are and how to get around problems before they occur, I don't think this video / article is new but I do think it might finally make some of the trolls on this site who cry and moan about structured coding a mute button.
Interactive programming can be made interactive by the programmer and a "good programmer" can write any language interactively by thinking ahead of where they need to be. Programmer who can't really do have one arm behind there back but not tied! I do know some classic programmers who are jedi's in the art, but most programmers who can't preform interactive programming are programming with a blind fold on and with one hand, it's not pretty.
Have there ever been a study done to show how many people who have or had got cancer did so because this one compound? It seems every month another substance gets added to this list, in 10 years we wont be able to eat anything because everything will cause cancer. I would be surprised if this compound has caused over 0.00001% of all cancer.
I do understand what you mean, my main point is that WAY to many people, even people I know don't see the big deal of putting large amounts of personal data online. They think by changing a simple button to private that it will make them completely invisible online. Once you put data online and post it then it's available to people who want it. If you didn't want people to read it then you shouldn't of posted it.
Wow, so basically now the US is saying you don't get free speech? As long as this girl didn't make a direct and pointed threat to this hall monitor then she did nothing wrong and shouldn't get in trouble. Of course like I just posted, she put it online with the intent to show off what she thought and she wanted people to read and react, but this still doesn't violate free speech.
If you wanted to get into social networking in the first place then wasn't the intent to let people see, know and read what your doing? We seem to always hear how there isn't enough privacy on Facebook or MySpace or Google+ but in the end why did you make a networking profile is you want to keep your life private. Once you put data on the Internet it's available for anyone who wants it. Sure you can claim people don't have the right to view it but then why did you put it up in the first place? The bottom line is if you care about the privacy of your actions / data then don't post it online.
Your going by release dates, Using your logic then a product doesn't exist before it's released! The playbook was released after the iPad but BEFORE the iPad2, BEFORE Rim even knew that there would be a iPad2 so how can you compare them. The Playbook was meant to compete with the iPad NOT the iPad2, NOT the iPad3 etc..... There for to draw the conclusion you compare Apples to Apples and there for you compare the iPad and the Playbook, just like the Playbook2 is meant to compare to the iPad2.
Rim might of made a few mistakes on release but there very small and really never hindered the tablet, I've used the iPad, iPad2 and Playbook and Playbook 2 and from HOURS and HOURS of testing and comparison, Rim wins all the time. I gave you the comparable stats that are meant to face each other so if you want to try and grab stats from somewhere else we can put them up with each other lets do that.
iPad2 Stats Taken from Apple!
1GHz dual-core A5 CPU
512MB RAM
16GB, 32GB, 64GB storage options
Front & Rear Cameras, front is VGA, rear is 720p
9.7 LED display with 1024×768 screen resolution at 132ppi
GPU said to be 9x faster
Video output supports up to 1080p
Runs iOS 4.3
10 hour battery life
White & Black color options
3G models are AT&T and Verizon compatible
1.3 lbs
Thinner build
Okay so the iPad2 has 1080p out, so does the Playbook so tie there, The iPad2 DOES NOT have a true HD camera so they lose there. The iPad2 is still MUCH heavier which is a down side so they lose there, the Playbook still has more memory so Apple again loses there, The battery life is the same on listing but the Playbook battery doesn't degrade as fast I know from person use so Apple loses another point. I think were not looking good here for the iPad2...... The CPU is faster and a better overall architecture in the Playbook so another Apple loss. They don't have a touch interactive frame so another point taken. Okay so the IPad2 takes another fail, the Playbook beats out both of them! I'll give Apple one point for being thinner but being thin and lacking features shouldn't earn them a point.
Yes I'm comparing version numbers, Playbook 1 and iPad 1, fair is fair. Playbook 2 and iPad 2 get compared etc..... The original Playbook was to release long before it did closer to the iPad 1 so it is still a fair comparison, that change that caused the delay effected the uC and that forced a layout rework and hence the delay.
First of all change you name so it's not even close to your name or nick name and then you officially no longer have facebook! so if they ask for the password you can tell them, "Oh I don't have an account, sorry!", also make sure to change your display picture to someone other then you.

12 years old, 20 years old, 80 years old, 2 months old it doesn't matter. It's all free speech
I do understand what you mean, my main point is that WAY to many people, even people I know don't see the big deal of putting large amounts of personal data online. HA okay I accept that fix! Has or can get the credentials ( Hackers )
Wow, so basically now the US is saying you don't get free speech? As long as this girl didn't make a direct and pointed threat to this hall monitor then she did nothing wrong and shouldn't get in trouble. Great a thinner, higher resolution tablet which still doesn't come close to matching the playbook. In this case sales doesn't equal quality!
I'm still waiting for someone to create an argument which actually disproves this statement.
Rim might of made a few mistakes on release but there very small and really never hindered the tablet, I've used the iPad, iPad2 and Playbook and Playbook 2 and from HOURS and HOURS of testing and comparison, Rim wins all the time.
