Of all the types of people on the planet only nerds think like this. I find that fascinating. Why is it that people who can think extremely logically really hate phones but often can talk to people face to face about many different subject, not all of them having to do with logic?
BTW I do know that DNA codes for proteins and that the proteins plus certain self-assembly mechanisms account for most of the work done in growing an organism. But there my knowledge ends.
I am not a biologist so forgive me my ignorance but when people say that DNA is the blueprint for an organism I never understand how a bunch of proteins can determine an organism's shape and behavior. Aren't there more factors that determine those things, like the surroundings in which the DNA is used, like chemicals that the growing organism is surrounded with, temperature, etc?
Here in the Netherlands we have that too. Companies have to pay ridiculous amounts of money to BUMA/STEMRA (one of our RIAA-like organizations (yes, we have several!)) just to be 'allowed' to play music on site.
There are quite a lot of airports, stations, hospitals and schools in the world. And especially airports and stations need quite a lot of screens. Big market.
Here in the Netherlands we had a similar thing just before Christmas. Someone had altered a URL on the website of our monarchy and in this way found the Queen's Christmas speech that was to be broadcasted on Christmas Day (logically). He made that public and there was some consternation about whether or not this was a punishable act, but mainly about how our government fails in securing their internet activities tima and time again. The person who had found the speech was not prosecuted and the speech was broadcasted as planned.
Stores have used all kinds of methods to find out how people behave in shops. This time it's wifi. They know your name anyway because who pays with cash these days? Do you also object to people who run small shops knowing your preferences because they serve you time and time again? I think this privacy paranoia is often way overblown.
It would be so cool to have an urban dictionary the other way around. One that finds a word to each particular unmentionable description. Like: Me: My girlfriend eats fish food when she's watching the telly! Urban Dictionary: She's a square-eyed flakophile.
You're right, I phrased it a bit awkwardly. I'm very interested in that period because during that era the basis of our current society was formed. Not only is it the start of the technological age but a lot of social laws appeared in that era.
Samsung makes pretty good non-pro cameras too. But I guess many people here hate Samsung. ;)
Animal skins are worn by beautiful animals and ugly people!
I wish that I could do that. I would be very rich then. "O damn, the tires have to be changed because they're worn out. What car shall I buy now?"

No. You can't copy a phone like you can copy a digital file.
There are quite a lot of airports, stations, hospitals and schools in the world. And especially airports and stations need quite a lot of screens. Big market.
Airports, stations, hospitals, schools... Big market I'd say.
Damn me! :)
But what cools the laser?
Damn virtual keyboards. Lyberia and Myanmar!
This. But the US probably thinks that together with Lyneria and Muanmar they are the only developed countries on the planet.

Don't forget: Guy Hingston thinks of the children!
Which is why they don't have internet.
Now we are full circle.

Bloody hell. I hate websites that make noise.
We Dutch don't use sex a lot in swear words. We use diseases. Teringlijer, kankerhoer, krijg de tyfus, and more like that.

Unfortunately Watson was built in the Land of the Prudes so we'll never hear him swear.
Die you know Queen Victoria fucked Prince Albert whenever she could? Maybe she fucked him to death.
I can not believe that the metric system was invented by the US. I guess you meant IS metric system.
