Not true. A lot of people ran Linux on their PS3. Universities set up clusters of them for super computer like performance. If one of those PS3's (in a cluster) die now, they can be replaced as new, and repaired PS3's come with updated firmware.

If anything it would be classed as a trade secret.
Correct me if I am wrong but reverse engineering is allowed when it comes to trade secrets....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade_secret#Discovering_trade_secrets
If you were hired by the FBI to inject a backdoor into open source code, wouldn't you use an alias?
Being open, with a chance of discovery at any time, would you want your name on it?
There is no proof of ID required when submitting code!
On the flip side, there is (yet) no evidence of a backdoor to begin with. Wouldn't the best way to shout this out to the world, be to provide proof with the offending code....?
Maybe it has to do with that guy suing him, claiming he owns 80% of facebook on a deal made before it went public. i.e. give away the cash, so that guy cant get it....
Or Windows Phone 7 ....?
If you want the most space use QEMM.

Apparently the PS2 software emu is still on all PS3's. But it is switched off for certain (most) models.
Nobody gives a fuck about Linux

okay, but they should have a schedule.
They have a schedule! And they had a setback which delayed everything.
since they've delayed ff4 for perhaps a year now
Considering the alphas came out in June, and the 1st beta in July it is hardly a year!
How about you stop making shit up!
Roll a D20, save vs. Stupidity,...again! (you failed the last one)
i seriously need them to release ff4. enough beta-ing around already!!1
So you would rather have buggy code as long as that it is released? use IE!
Roll a d20, save VS Stupidity......
By that logic, wouldn't NeXT Step have been the most secure UNIX ever?

How hard would it be to use an alias? you don't exactly require proof of id to submit anything do you?
I would deny as well, it if I had done it...
was it FreeBSD then?
