Greetings from Earth! We're about 4-7 feet tall and have a large population on our planet. Do you have water like we do? We go well with greens! Please feel free to drop us a line!
Other changes like how the talent trees are getting chopped down big time really have me wondering. Also gear power feels like it's shot through the roof this expansion. Next expansion I heard mages in level 85 blues will be running around with around 70k health. PvP may be really interesting next expansion.
I flipped the master kill switch for Real ID. Damn that felt good knocking that out completely. If I want to talk to people I know I'll use a common channel or log in to the other faction toon to talk to em.
"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly milked from their wallets just a bit more."
I'm going to give them my copy of Earth (The Book) instead. I'm half way through it and it's actually a great read. If I was from out of town and this was my visitor guide it'd be informative and humorous. Assuming I understood those concepts and could learn to read English.
This is one of the big reasons I love buying your games. They'll have a life after the original targeted platform passes because of continued efforts based on the code you release.:)
My biggest issue with Ubuntu is getting the sound system to "Just work" between Flash and regular Linux apps or WINE and Linux apps. Other then that it's been really great for the most part. Now and then I have driver issues for newer hardware but I ran in to the same problem with Windows 7 on a new laptop I got recently. My laptop actually worked better under Ubuntu 10.04 out of the box then it did with Windows 7 which needed me to farm drivers off Acer's web site.
I think the worst problem I had with that laptop was the ear jack not working when plugged in but regular speakers working ok. A six step processes that ran an automated script from their support forum fixed that problem. Now I just have the Flash and WINE sound issues. Windows 7 had me downloading chip set drivers, sound drivers, video drivers, etc.

Not really, why send people to a country known for arresting people and holding them until a former president swoops in and frees them? I bet that costs a pretty penny and I wouldn't want my business billed for it.
"I won't have to monkey with my audio drivers again... doubtful."
That always bugs me when I install a release of their software. It has issues and I have to dork around with audio settings. On a side note, Netbook Remix doesn't seem to have any problems with Audio like the regular desktop version did for me. I'm not sure of all the differences but it seemed to me they got it right in Remix and are still trying to figure it out in the main versions.
"Can you get back to the energy problem please? Neither god nor gravity will save us from that."
God part is a debate best left to those who like to argue about religion. As for gravity, well how about hydro power? Water flows down the path of least resistance you know and if it can't find one it tends to make its own like the Grand Canyon.
I use error handling to give me as complete a picture as possible of stuff on production. I don't want anymore access to production then I absolutely need.
I really wish someone would take the code to Neverwinter Nights (Orig + SoU + HotU), clean it up, spruce up the graphic detail a bit and not change it completely, and re-release it with a whole new campaign. Outside of college Friday night lan fests, NWN1 was the best fun I've had both gaming as well as creating content.
Cheaper an even more profitable idea is to publish all the stupid people rescue stories. If a person is rescued from their own stupidity they give up any rights to profits made from their story on the mountain or whatever and the park services can rake in the dough. Name and shame them on a TV show and/or YouTube. This will have the added effect of educating the public to be less stupid as well since the entertainment can also be edutainment at the same time.
I like iD, they've historically given back to the public domain after a limited period of time. As their new tech comes out they've released the older tech to the general public. My game purchases may be pittance but I like rewarding them as best I can for their actions even in this crappy economy. Still have the metal box Quake 3 Linux package and CD. >_>
It would be nice to see these iPad competitors in the market place. That Dell tablet is too small. Something the size of the iPad with Android running on it would be sweet to play with. Then I can just download the SDK on any machine I want and not have to worry about buying another computer just to play with a tablet.
Also 3G need not apply, wireless works just fine thank you.
Doom 3 was too dark but I have to admit it made for some really great "Oh shit!" moments. Especially when I was going through that specimen transport area where the only light I had was from the specimen tube and the scientist with the lantern.
"What absolutely baffles me is how many months after the "Collateral Murder" tape was released, we're all still watching our sit-coms, sipping our lattes, and arguing about Arizona and immigration and having mild debates over whether or not Wikleaks should give the government a tug-job instead of calling them out with documented evidence."
Because it wasn't in our back yard anymore. After 9/11 it got moved to Iraq and Afghanistan and out of our site and mind. Arizona is in our back yard, we care about that. BP and their oil well in the Gulf was our back yard. We suddenly cared about their safety record once it fouled our beaches and fishing areas. Never mind the fact they did it before and we didn't give a damn then.

You can now shut off RealID completely from the account settings page.
Account > Settings > Communication Preferences

Huzza! This could eventually make my life easier too!

Right now my bamboo plant on my file cabinet is running an Intel Core i5 and Windows 7 based on the stickers.

Just imagine bigger targets like World of Warcraft.
I wish I could mod you funny. I laughed, thank you!
Fence off some square states and toss em all in there. It'd make for some great TV and income.

That is where heavy fines come in for those people.

Almost sounds like last year at DefCon according to this article. Or someone didn't get the memo from the earlier incident your talking of.
