Direct Democracy is rule of mob. Saying plain ol' Democracy is a rule of mob is like saying a Parallelogram is a four sided figure with all equal sides. We live in a Representational Democracy, roughly speaking a Republic and Democracy where representatives are determined by the people.
Sorry, I meant laptop/desktop. Haven't seen a mac desktop in so long that I forgot they exist. I thought I remembered seeing something in one of Apple's reference documents that the iphone is practically restricted to obj-c. Can't find it, so I probably misremember it.
That's how I learned to use most software, like . . . well, that's actually how I learned how to use all software. To learn about a program the best, you must be willing to royally screw it up in every possible way. Then again, that's probably not the best way to go about treating an entire planet, but we know that it at least works in the end. Assuming all parties survive in the end.
Other solution: Send all of our phone cleaners, politicians, telemarketers, and other human leeches to another planet. Or into our sun.
[nitpick]@last statement: yes, it seems that under certain conditions, being a carrier for the sickle-cell allele can be beneficial. It gives resistance to malaria. Problems occur when you have two copies of the gene, instead of one. [/nitpick]
You should better learn your economics. It's the study of the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. Most of those are neither goods nor services. And no, this isn't just being pedantic.

Spot on. Base 12 forevah.
By "we," I was referring to America, not the UK.
Because we don't call our schools "University College"?
Read the parent's sig. :P
No they won't.
They came first for my chair
And I didn't speak up because I could stand
Then they came for my mouse
I didn't speak up because I had a touchpad
Then they came for my caps lock key
I didn't speak up because I could still whisper
Then they came for my keyboard
And by that time there was nothing left for me to blog

I think you can do carbon stuff in plain ol' C, albeit painfully. And of course there's Java.
I c.
There is one popular computing platform that requires all programs to be written in Objective-C.
Does it? I thought Apple allowed a few other languages, like plain C/C++...
Not on the iPhone (and I assume neither for any of Apple's current non-laptop devices). But for the laptop, yeah, there are plenty of languages.
Who cares about honey?
Bears, you insensitive clod.
Back right where it started, in a year.
Given the extreme prevalence of photosynthesis in the biosphere, I dare say we'd be gone well before it goes.
Don't you mean "+1, Most Predictable Joke Ever"?
As any good geek would know, that's what the day is for.
If you think high blood pressure is a problem now, just you wait.
No fool, ever seen a cloud? Water vapor is a whitehouse gas.

Getting salt in our eyes?
Being gay is an innate attribute, its how they were born. Whats next, repealing intra-racial marriages because its a "behaviour"?
FTFY ;)

You mean a TUI? There's more to it than pretty windows.
Dammit! I'll need to think of another defense now.
