Honestly other than drum up media attention over his website, I think he's the biggest hacker fraud ever known.

My problem with a bloated government is it's all fine if they give us the freedoms we need and we can afford it. Right now however, we are in massive debt and have a government we can't afford and are effectively living off the credit of other countries right now. If we keep growing our government larger and larger without having the money to pay for it, then we are going to cause a massive depression the size of which we have never seen for our country. Bigger government = higher taxes.

You're right, I would say MSNBC is at least twice as bad as Fox. Have you ever seen Keith Olbermann's show? It's the polar opposite of O'Rielly. As bad as O'Rielly is, I see him donate more of his money to charity or good causes than I've ever seen Olbermann even think about doing. In fact the only people I've seen Olbermann hand money out to are his own liberal political pundits he has on his show. CNN has also fired all their good anchors within the past year. Obviously most people here would probably disagree though since MSNBC is a nightly show for most of you. =]

Speaking from experience in working with a top 5 web hosting company in the world, most peering arrangements are negotiated a lot like how cable companies contract to FOX or NBC. The company or network that provides the content, in this case Netflix, has the bargaining chip. Also, for Netflix to change from one provider to another is not easy, it's not as if they can just pick up shop and move from one to the other without paying huge costs in transfer. Also, as the original poster points out, Level 3 (Or Comcast) can just simply pull the cable. At which point you would be having that very conversation with Netflix and then writing an angry letter to Comcast. :)

Heh its funny, the original mod who marked me a troll replied to my post saying something about how LTE is 3G and not 4G, and I replied to him saying so how are you saying something different than what I am (And not trolling yourself)? I also mentioned when telcos first started advertising "3G" back in like 2003, most of their networks weren't technically "3G" at the time, either. Ironically, a few days later his reply was gone as well as my retort. Gotta love the mods on slashdot...

  19. Re:This is why I love FiOS on ISPs Lie About Broadband "Up To" Speeds · · Score: 1

You have to realize how most of the fiber bandwidth is devoted to the HD cable. (This could be solved by IPTV, but FiOS only uses that for On Demand) The bandwidth that is left over depends on if you're on a BPON or GPON (Gigabit BPON). MOST people on FiOS are on BPONs. * 1310 nm wavelength for upstream data at 155 Mbit/s (1.2 Gbit/s with GPON) * 1490 nm wavelength for downstream data at 622 Mbit/s (2.4 Gbit/s with GPON) * 1550 nm wavelength for QAM cable television with 870 MHz of bandwidth This bandwidth is shared by 32 people usually. 155/32 = 4.84Mbps per person upload 622/32 = 19.44Mbps per person download So they are technically over subscribing their bandwidth. I'll gladly admit that FiOS is setup retarded and I've complained about it for years, but its the best that most people have... Hopefully U-Verse fiber will solve that issue when it comes out and offer higher bandwidth, but AT&T has a long way to go on upgrading their network to Fiber. =[
