Taxing students, bailouts for banks, there is only one way for citizens to fight back, stop spending money and start saving it. However most citizens are as greedy as the government and can not stop spending their money. I myself have cut my spending almost 90%, from now on its only buying what I need and nothing else. I am not going to fuel the cycle.
burden? what burden? these students spend money locally and give enough money to the city already. Just what burden are they doing, buying coffee and office supplies? 'Those darn students and all their learning, what a burden. They should have just dropped out and been a benefit to society'. I can't believe how many dumb taxes that have no merit keep coming up. Lets call this what it really is GREED GREED GREED
TCP/IP may have issues but any format will. You cant send data across networks and not have the chance of it being read unless the network is closed. That is like saying you are going to build a new pigeon who is more secure who will deliver your message. Also any criminal who gets there hands on a government laptop and password can just login and bypass all that security anyway (I think that has happened a few times over the last few years). Security comes down to training the humans to use computers securly, no technology will replace that.
I use Linux except for games, and the games I have some of them dont run on anything but XP, so I will not be buying Vista or Win7. In fact I just bought another Windows XP Machine just to be safe. If you could run my apps I would switch but if not I have no reason to use it.
I use to code in my free time but there is too little of it and too many things for me to do. If you wont hire me because of that then good I don't want to work for a rude dictator anyway:)

WOW I am never moving to Canada the laws up there are psychotic; and I dont even have any pirated software, music etc..
I am sure if they alienate their customers some other company will come along and encourage it on their calculators and steal TI's business

evidence was a screen capture? you know how easy it is to create fake screens, most people with any photoshop like app and html can do one in an hour

A fee for cdr's sold is insane. You cant assume assume everyone that is buying a cdr is copying music onto it.
I have worked at 2 companies now and at both companies the indian workers did a much much worse job than the us workers. This guy is way off.
