    Adobe makes their money on the flash authoring tools, not the player. The more things that their tools can be used for the better.

    So long as people are still using Flash to build their games and web applications, it doesn't really matter what they convert it into for the web. Flash is an excellent work environment for building things, and so far it is far from equalled in HTML 5 authoring tools. If Adobe can make Flash output to HTML 5 well then they have just conquered a new market and survived the fall of their old one.

    The summary here looks a little panicked and fact free. If you're a champion of rational thought and science, shouldn't you avoid referring to anything with emotionally-charged terms like "most dangerous movement in centuries"? Heck, science as we know it hasn't really been around for more than three or so centuries, so while the claim may be technically true, it also looks foolish.

    How exactly do you think they catch the allegedly real ones? If it started to grow out of control I'm sure the students could come up with some convincing lies about why they accused the teacher of that.

    You haven't been a kid recently have you. By the age of 12 many children are fully capable of carrying out a simple plan like that. Most are also wise enough not to do such a thing.

    I'm not claiming that this such a case, but you shouldn't fall into the "kids are stupid" trap.
