    If you tell a child that they are stupid, then you aren't going to be able to teach them anything no matter how smart they are. They will simply stop caring about what you want from them. What she did would no be a problem... if she wasn't paid to be educating these kids. Since she is being paid to educate them, then she should be doing that instead of whining about how little they are learning.

    I think you're missing several factors there. One of them is the quality of work done. Do you really want to end up calling another helpline where the person on the other end can't understand half the words you're saying?

    I'd personally draw the line at the point where the help desk no longer speaks the same language as the people it is supposed to be helping.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, but if everybody get a chance to get vaccines, then the only people who are at risk because of not wanting vaccines are the people who have chosen it for themselves, correct? And if there aren't enough vaccines to go around, then just skip over the people who don't want them and give them to the people who do.

    People still have the right to smoke and drink, even though those things are dangerous to their personal health and sometimes to the health of those around them. If you're going to enforce your positive world view on one subject on the people are around you, then you need to be consistent and protect them from all of the misinformed decisions they might make in their life.

    However, it also means that nobody else has driven down the road since it snowed, and nobody is going to come for you when you go flying off into the ditch because you were speeding in a quarter inch of snow in summer tires.
