Language wise, English equals British about as much as Spanish equals Spain.
In other words, lots of countries were subjugated many hundreds of years ago by the two empires. English is simply a footprint from that period of time, as is Spanish. Since most of the countries are now separate entities and disparate, logic would dictate that the ousted countries' activities would hold no bearing on said countries' activities.
a) The British Commonwealth includes the United Kingdom.
b) The British Commonwealth equates to 'the English-speaking world' more legitimately than the United States alone.
'If the government regulates racial equality, policies for equal rights are set by one entity: the Constitution. However, if the government stays out, each state will set its own policies. If you don’t like the Union’s policies, you are stuck with them unless you leave the United States. If you don’t like your state’s policies, you can simply hop across the border to another one. So which model sounds better to you?'
Etc.
Hah I see what you did there, you tried to paint me with a very broad brush.
Perhaps I see no reason to be 100% grammatically correct on a pseudo-anonymous forum. I don't see a logical reason to waste the extra time and effort to do anything besides get my point across.
Think of today's Hybrids as the equivalent of the first iPod. "No wireless. Less space than a nomad. Lame."
It's the 3rd and 4th gen of these vehicles that will blow everything else out off the road, in a matter of speaking.
Good point. So continuing with the consumer electronics analogy, isn't it wiser to keep my hands off my wallet till that Prius 4.0?
What I (another non-player) gather:
CCP is the company that owns the game and maintains it.
ISK is an in-game currency. PLEX is an in-game object you can buy with millions of ISK or 15-20 real-life dollars, and which you can redeem for game play time.
Actual EVE players: amirite?
So you only use correct spelling, grammar, or punctuation when you're being evaluated on it or paid for it? Isn't that much like politicians who are honest and ethical and decent – but only when the cameras are rolling?
The DoD sets up an AssLeaks website and post all of Assange's personal information... all in the name of transparency... I'm sure he will support that... right...
Your argument is flawed. Assange is not spending public monies and hiding the incompetent handling of a military operation. Nor is he trying to cover up the duplicity of a supposed ally. The Pentagon is.
I`d prefer my government not stay out of the lives of insurgents and of terrorists from across the border. India`s been fighting terrorism far longer than the word has been a part of the daily vocabularies of Americans.
I don't mind India being able to intercept communications. That might have prevented the Taj attacks in Bombay. Americans need to fly halfway across the world to fight the Taliban. India has a border with Pakistan. Imagine al-Qaeda operating out of Mexico.
Indeed, but they are also ahead of the United States in generating alternate energy jobs and expanding its role in the power sector. As of 2007, they were already ahead of the United States in the fraction of renewable energy in their portfolio (7.5% vs. 5.5%, about a 36% lead). Plus, it's China that has mountains of free cash to burn on research and subsidy in this regard, not America.
I was an international in Canada. It was 'my country is awesome; this one's awesome and easy' and 'my country does not pay in dollars out of university' and 'ooh... oil!'.
how global warming is a hideous result of modern civilization and all manner of politically correct nonsense
I was taught that in an Indian high school sometime in the nineties.
In most of the world, global warming is recognised as an existing, serious problem and a consequence of industrialisation. Evolution is taught as it ought to be, without creationism getting in the way. In a country that has often been dissatisfied with the United Nations, the organisation and other multilateral fora are portrayed positively. In a country that has been at on-and-off war with an Islamic state since 1947, the origins and fundamentals of the religion (indeed, all major religions) is taught as part of history without subjective commentary.
The entire British Commonwealth uses Celsius.

I talk in English myself.
The entire British Commonwealth uses Celsius.
Get healthy steady relationship, buy pill and you don't have to simulate the sensation of touching the insides of a vagina sans rubber.
That is, like, so retro.

FTFY.
If intelligent life is too complex to evolve on its own, who designed God?
Love your sig. Brilliant.
This study is Canadian, shut up.
Sure, they love their oil too....
Yes but we sell oil. Why Americans love it is beyond me.

He should have. The subsidy for monster trucks was wrong, and it doesn't make the present subsidy for electric cars any less wrong.
You bought these with your own money, which you are free and welcome to do. What you must not expect is for the rest of us to finance your hobby.

If only they could have the enviable debt and unemployment levels that the United States enjoys!
Saudi Arabia != the Emirates.

Mod parent up. A million times up.

I think he means the China that consumes more energy than the United States yet uses only half the oil.

It seems your sarcasm detector is malfunctioning. Please reboot.
Not as much as non-Americans need English explained, apparently.
Come back for tea and scones when you can spell 'colour'.
Ghandi.
G-A-N-D-H-I. It's not that hard to spell, seriously....
