Now i know where our Prince Claus has been hanging out lately... i admit he's a bit of a stiff, but he's no robot! I wonder if Queen Beatrix was sitting next to him...
So what are they going to charge these kids with? Last time i heard being depressed isnt a crime... This stuff all sounds a bit too much like STASI-practices (Former east-german secret police)...
That means the network -- variously reported to have cost $5 billion to $7 billion -- would be vaporized as its satellites, bumped by their thrusters, plunge from 485 miles above the Earth in flames over the ocean.
Man, what a waste... we could've sent a probe to mars that would've actually worked and still have change for beer and pizza!
It said it was filtered at ISP level, so it shouldn't affect it. If it would be filtered at UUNet, that would be a big problem since Frankfurt is a Multiple Hub City.
It's not that hard to raise funds on the internet... just put some p0rn banners on your site;-) That way they can start censoring immediately, with their own site!
(Or maybe i should not reply to articles when i've just woken up)
I'm glad their doing this! NASA is cool even though they've had some failures lately Do you have any idea how difficult it is to send a spacecraft to something that is millions of miles away? It's a miracle that anything reaches their destination, especially with the budget cuts NASA's been suffering... some people can't even hit the toilet while peeing and that's right in front of them...
I know they use e-mail in countries like pakistan, bangladesh, etheopia, kenya and nigeria to order things like used cars and tractors because it's just a lot cheaper than using a fax. Or they use email to fax through a portal, the person on the other side will get the fax with some added advertisements. I have a friend who does import/export of cars and tractors to these countries and i've seen a lot of email traffic for orders and confirmations.
"Its hard to imagine how Intel will monitor what you're doing after you've wiped the hard drive and installed a new operating system." It would surprise me if they wouldnt keep records of their employees with their cpu serial... i wonder if these can be put in cookies...
Intel are getting really desperate aren't they? The things they'll do to keep their own employees from buying AMD based PC's... (yes, i'm being a bit sarcastic;-))

Napster's 50+ servers are not linked, the bandwith is balanced by the main server which your napster client connects to. This is also the reason that it's impossible to find someone again after you get disconnected from napster... a way to get around this, is napigator at http://www.napigator.com which lets you choose your own server. It runs under Windows.

Hubble was launched in 1990, and has an estimated 15 year life span, what will be around after it.
The Next Generation Space Telescope (NGST) project is part of the NASA theme: the Astronomical Search for Origins. NGST will be the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope and may be launched as early as 2007. STScI will manage science and mission operations after launch.
Hmm.. BSD. Britney Spears Dist? Maybe her 'singing' career is just a cover. She's a geek like us!

Playing MP3's with the mute button on... was there a point you were trying to make?

You could've installed Debian instead... it has both 1.44 and 1.2 install floppies.
This is one of the reasons you shouldn't watch Terminator 25 times in a row...
