    Oh yes it will. Or are you calling that free ISP using your GSM? If you call that free 'anonymous' ISP from your home, your phonenumber is known. If you dont have an unlisted number, anyone can do a phonenumber search on you using the KPN cdrom phonebook with 'foongrep', a third party program. If you have an unlisted number, the police can still get your home address. (And there are other ways to get this info if you have the money)

    get a free internet provider or just use one of the 30 hours free accounts. Used just once and thrown away, from a city you don't live in, and the agency that can trace that deserves to be in world power anyway..

    Your phonenumber will still be logged at the ISP through callerID. That is, if you live in the Netherlands. It doesn't matter if you turned it off or not, that's just so other phonecompany clients cant see it.

    What we need is some sort of a universal translator.

    Germans already have something like this, they dub about everything on television (Yes, even startrek "Gib ein bratwurst zu Dilithium Kritallen, herr Laforge!"). So if you want to see/hear what it's like, watch some german television, see everyone's lips out of sync (much like those hong kong karate movies)... Oh, another thing, you get fined for using any english words in France if you advertise something, so i dont see them accepting english any time soon...

    Operate a computer with a nice little deadman's switch connected to a detonator with a can of thermite on the hard drive. When they try to take your computer away the computer's internal hd dies and all the supposed "evidence" goes with it.
    I think a windows 98 install will have about the same desired effect after a while.

    Why wouldnt DCC sends work? Are you using ip_masq_irc? it defaults to port 6667, but you can add more ports by using ports=6666,6668,6669 etc when you do insmod...

    Appearently there was aurora here in the Netherlands (52.02N 4.05E) last night, but i didnt see anything ;-(... I did notice the TV signals were a bit weak at times and i got some weird spots and crackles all night on it last night. If my ISP hears from this they'll probably blame their breakdowns on it. "Our newsserver is sucking because of increased solar activity"...

    Boredom. Malice. If they can't destroy phonebooths or rip the windscreenwipers/mirrors off cars, they'll just DDOS IRC servers. Less chance of getting caught.

    PS: For anyone who can't live without IRC, there's always other nets like DalNet, UnderNet, StarChat, etc...
