haha yes i agree. my new plan is to upgrade once everyone else's box is 10x faster than mine. I had a pentium150, and upgraded last year to an athlon 900. so i'll upgrade when i -can- get a 9ghz proc, but i'll cheap out and only get a 7ghz one
There seems to be a lot of concern from the writer about how the AI uses like 25% of your CPU and stuff but seriously, how many people buy BF1942 and play it single player? The whole point of this game is that everyone you're playing against is a person.
Playing it single player is like watching porn when there's a naked girl in your bed.

There are good reasons to be upset about APEC conferences, good reasons to want to slow down, or at least put the reins of globalization in the hands of people, rather than multinational organizations, and the people who PLAN protests are, mostly, well educated in these matters, and have set, well-planned agendas. (or at least one would hope so)
BUT
Im a PoliSci undergrad (so i sort of kind of should maybe know what im talking about) and i get SICK walking around campus listening to that 1/4-knowledgable-3/4-bitchy and loud- segment of the student body complaining about how globalization is going to bring about the end of the free world and how it kills babies and rapes countries of their resources.
My point is that there is this... class... of people who hang around schools and spend their free time protesting. Not neccesarily protesting anything in particular, but PROTESTING.
I know of at least 20 people from my university (UVic) that went to Seattle, and not one of them is worth talking to. and they:re dirty as hell. gah.

so... by your logic, we wouldnt have posts about how quake3 was released as it is violent, or so forth. also, saying 'even the title makes you _feel_ the brutal, antisocial flair, one expects from one of these nowadays trendy leftwing conspiratory propaganda films.' makes you feel like a dumbass.. there's too many commas, for one, and how do the words 'final fantasy' engage thoughts of brutal anything? it's a freaking fantasy!!! man, you're just plain ignorant. ps. i especially like calling final fantasy the movie 'uneccesary, bold brutality' i assume that you're a fucking moron and assume that a movie based on a game will be 'mortal kombat 4' go rent final fantasy 8 and get back to me. baka ^^;
Im not going to go out on a limb and defend any american 'video game inspired' movies like the horrid mario brothers or street fighter or what have you... but let's not forget that the creative engine behind the final fantasy movie isnt american blockbuster filmmakers. if any of you have seen street fighter II the anime, final fantasy: legend of the crystals, or any number of animated japanese titles based on videogames, you'll know that treatment tends to be MUCH better than what we get here. (ok, except tekken. tekken was pretty mediocre).
