    I always felt Ballmer was the wrong choice for the CEO. In these 10 years the competition has not only come to their doorstep but into it. Under his reins Microsoft scrambled for MBAs and the others got the real geeks. And to top it, the world has started to realize that a computer is not Windows and the internet is not IE.

    Ok. Now think of it from India's point of view. If they see a possibility that they might not exist in the future, why should they care about future space exploration for other countries? This is simply another deterrent.

    Why not? If you're allowed to weaponize earth, why not space? Is it some kind of holy shrine? As for the 'bad idea' part- Well they should have thought of that when they created weapons in the first place right? India is doing what it takes to protect itself from some sort of maniacal attack from the Amreicans and the ruskies who'll try to blame it on someone else.

    Times are rough for Intel, I read that their processor proposed for the Apple tablet was ditched in favor of one from a smaller company. These big companies somehow seem glacial compared to the more agile competition. They are all going to be forced to really innovate now.

    Your list is for brochure shoppers. Nokia never understood what it takes to build a great community around a device, or how to make its developers millionaires. Likewise, it never created the platform which could ever hold a candle to the iphone. And let me get this straight- You don't mind compiling the kernel, but you mind when your jailbroken iphone is cut off? You do know how easy it is to restore? Few years from now Nokia will be eliminated completely from the smart phone market, and will be relegated to competing with phones your grand mother can comprehend.

    Congrats on your brick acqusition. Sure the root is unlocked, but you should have bought an iphone and jailbroken it. That way you get to choose from the multitude of apps, both paid and free, and control the phone the way you like (e.g. you can run background apps, openssh etc on iphone) and not have features for the sake of features. Nokia is famous for that.

    Why do people forget that google isn't even trying to compete or replace Windows. It currently aspires to be nothing more than your other computer. It will be like a TV- It starts very fast, is and is reliable. It will browse the net without requiring Apple tablet hand acrobatics. It will sync everything with the fscking google cloud, so that you and google have full access to all your data wherever you go.
