If you look back to when IE 8 was being developed, the Acid 3 score barely changed between preview releases and final scores. So I think this time it will be the same and 55 is around what we can expect in IE 9 final. So once again IE is not standards compliant (unless the submitted tests are accepted). That said, I installed the preview and ran the test "Flying Images" and I was genuinely impressed. I hope that 2D performance comes to Firefox soon. The difference is astonishing especially when you increase the number of objects.
Exactly. This site is supposed to be for geeks, not someone who is necessarily looking for the "easy" or "short" way to do something. I know when I need to research electronics, it's not a burden; it's fun. And it's been the same for the last 12+ years so probably the OP doesn't really belong here..
.. and then come here and post on slashdot? It's like telling a stranger- Here's my bank account and credit card details, along with all my passwords. I trust you completely. Another thing one must never do is give out personal passwords (like email, facebook) to a spouse. No good can ever come of it.
Which part of this infers a threat to privacy? You need to think of this too- The system is running Windows, which is a black box and they could be doing whatever they want and you wouldn't know about it.
How about this for an answer? Cause you're not in a theater, you're in an aircraft.
"Airlines have overcrammed more seats into each plane than the original designers would have believed possible." This is one of the stupidest things I have ever read.
Sure, most of the time they themselves are to blame for the state they're in. So what? It's their choice, and they shouldn't have to endure getting frowned upon, let alone being openly insulted.
Talk about contradicting yourself. If you weren't that fat, you could probably think better. So what's next? Congratulating fat people? Fat models? The day when "fat" becomes a racist word? Give me a break.
If you're that fat and you don't care, you shouldn't EXPECT to be treated equally as others. @thatkevinsmith didn't give a shit while he was becoming a fat slob. Now he wails when he's deemed to be a risk to fly with. Southwest are right, and @thatkevinsmith is just a fat loser. If I were on that plane I wouldn't want to fly if someone tells me the fat fuck is a risk to the rest of the people.
I kept hearing the same thing in different words. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money. Give me your money.
1.5lb is light? I don't concur. And the exterior design is bad. It would be fine for a small device like a phone. This is a slab and Apple has made no effort to make it easy to hold. That weight will take its toll within 10 minutes of usage. It will be an ergonomics disaster.
not horribly expensive
I disagree. See the opportunity cost over time. And if I wanted wifi at $500, I could buy a full featured laptop instead and do *whatever* I want with it, not just what Apple says I can.

Everyone works like that when they are interns. Then they realize it's just the beginning

Japan at 75%? You're a liar. http://www.prlog.org/10306512-ie6-still-broadly-used-in-japan.html

I can't click the link
Imagine how stupid you would look with that..
I find those games extremely painful to play..
How long can you keep "thrusting"?
The problem is that FPS like Q3 needs a proper mouse. Otherwise its no fun.
IE9 will NOT be standards compliant. Haven't you figured it out yet? That is their business model.

Let us know how that goes for you.
Does any netbook screen support 1920*1080 resolution?

Great! The fat community modded my post down to oblivion in a few minutes. I hope you guys die of cardiac arrest for that.
I second this motion. Weigh the people with the bags and set limits.

There's no "lock in" because you're paying more than full price. And there's no phone service. Sounds like you're pathetically attached to Apple.
This thing will kill off the iPod Touch sales in a heart beat, especially the low end wifi version.
Great comment. I agree.

720p is NOT hd.
What's your point exactly? YT works on linux.
