  1. It doesn't end on Silverman Responds To 'End of SSL And SSH' · · Score: 1

Despite what the man says, I think SSL and SSH are here to stay. Sure, they need their upgrades, but in the long run, they'll survive as reliable and secure protocols.

  2. This is the most pointless and stupidest Java crap on Java On 8-bit Platforms · · Score: 1

Man, what a wasted time. Now I'll be able to run a Java-based clock on my calculator. Great! Java is so slow, that nothing interesting will work on a 8-bitter. Those CPUs need to be coded in assembly, not some HLL, and DEFINITELY not something a clockcycle-wasting as Java! Why did this ever become featured, anyway?

Remember the experiment where electrons where shot through holes, and they would interfere with each other, even though there was only one electron in at a time? People have tried to observe the electron, but when using fotons with a big wavelength the beam was too imprecise, and when using fotons with a small wavelength the interference was annihilated.

I'm not exactly sure, but those lenses might be used to concentrate fotons with a big wavelength, so that the beam is precise enough AND doesn't interfere!

Oh man, why should you want to use Linux on a Z80? It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too heavy and bloated and slow for that. Besides, you'd have to rewrite most of it too, since the Z80 is no 32-bit CPU.

Just make an OS in Z80 assembly, like people do for Texas Instruments calculators. Check out ticalc for instance.

However, stupid people like the judge DO need a recycle bin to keep them from destroying important documents.

As for the e-mail stuff, I agree that one shouldn't be confronted with stuff from years ago that is out of contest, but if we were to find an e-mail right now from O.J. to his lawyer saying he did it, would we ignore it? I don't think we should!

Some people might wonder about this, and with good right. Because really, what HAS he done? Okay, so he invented the WWW. That's all. That would be important if only it had been original. But the fact is that he simply combined things. Hyperlinks, a gopher-like system, multimedia (yeah, especially in the beginning) were all available when he started. In fact the web wasn't too different from Gopher when it began. Only when it started to evolve it became what it is today. And that's exactly the part he didn't infuence.

I'm not denying his importance, I just don't think he should be number one.

Of course there's a lot of difference between CISC processors and the Crusoe, but the essence is the same.

Also, they never supported T-buffering, which may not be supported yet, but definitely proves to be great when implemented, unlike HW T&L, which sometimes actually lowered image quality.
