    ....all too quiet.

I would have thought this post would be crusing along considering the recent discussion/complaints about how shit the gaming industry has become.

Innovative titles anyone? Warren has done a great job to date, so what's going on? Have you all stopped caring all of a sudden?

Indeed, in order to play this raved-about game at all on a PAL format PlayStation one is forced to 'illegally' mod their console and import the damn thing.

Stupid really, I can't imagine there would be great costs involved in producing a PAL version of any game made for the PS2 so far.

Along with the 485,637 Gumdam games available in Japan I think there's a fair bit of money to be made if people in sales think, like, globally.

  6. What happened to 'parenting'? on Coping with Gaming Addiction · · Score: 1

I am hoping they tried other forms of control before taking their kid to a shrink. In all seriousness, isn't part of parenting taking part in guiding your kids and helping them out, showing them the way through life?

Ban use of the computer 24/7 straight, it's not like he's allowed to get up in the middle of the night and watch telly or anything. Just establish some reasonable guidelines and stick to them.

Take responsibility for your kids, parents out there. Don't just send them to a shrink when it's too hard.

If it was an ad then there wouldn't be mention of competing products in the same post would there? I think you're looking at this the wrong way, it's more a pointer towards emerging consumer-level tech that pretty much everyone here would be interested in rather than a shameless plug.

I concur, just put one of these in over the weekend and love it. The reviews mentioned noise levels climbing as fan speed was increased (duh) but it's seriously quiet. 120mm fans in PSUs are well overdue as a standard and you notice the difference immediately, the only trick is encouraging your MB that the fan is MEANT to be running at only 1440rpm :)

  11. Slack bastard authors on William Gibson's Latest Novel · · Score: 5, Funny

Hang on: "word on the street is that it is his best work in years." It's his only work in years, since '99 I believe. If people are going to write books, especially totally awesome rad books like Gibsons are, they could at least have the decency to write MORE, instead of making us wait so long, the bastards.
