It was rejected, but Apple did their usual flip flopping and approved it. With the help of iForce, my psychic powers tell me it'll be rejected again (and re-approved) all in the next week.
Feel free, the rougher the better. Unless you're fat and ugly.
On another note, I agree with CaptainNerdCave @ "Why cut prices?" - I would like the original functionality that was planned returned rather than a cheaper unit.
So what do you all consider catastrophic? Just a few weeks ago I had to have my gallbladder removed, it was just an outpatient procedure. Cost me 32 grand because I can't afford insurance (I'm out of work, thanks to the economy).
Stick with a web application. As someone who worked in shipping, it is much easier to do your work. I'm just confused what this ticketing system is about? Unless you can do an AS/400 app (which is what I prefer).
A lot of game designers have had elected teams facilitate communication between the dev team and the player base, for example DAoC with their Team Lead program. But $$ will win out, so in the end this will just be a glorified move to make people think CCP is really listening to the playerbase.
TFA describes it as a notebook for the most part, aside from it's Eee branding. The Slashdot post says notebook. Where in the hell did you get netbook?:P
It's a moot point, there is a lot of WoW content that has been reverse engineered and are now running on hundreds of shard servers, some with several thousand players playing:) Heck, I just re-upp'd to WoW and once my 7 day free subscription ends I'll probably switch my client to run on a shardserver and be done with it:)
A lot of companies use integrated suites of hardware/software for timekeeping purposes - a prime example would be Kronos. It does help lower costs on average, but I must say I hate the software part of it:P
Also, I might as well list out what we got in addition to Kaspersky:
Napkins
Balloons
Streamers
Balloons
A puzzle
Playing cards
A poster
Stand up card display
Windows 7 Ultimate Signature Edition (32bit / 64bit)
Free Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 (download, starting Oct. 22)
Various other free/discounted software offers
Did I mention we got free Win7 retail before most other people?:P

Just don't forget Peerblock :P
So not only will I be paying $9.99 but I'll also be watching ads? Hmm... no.
Just reading the comments gives me a horrible headache.
