What's wrong with Slashdot, ain't these the news for programmers? Another story by me which was also rejected was that Motif interview... and then 2 weeks pass and I finally read it on Slashdot.
I wonder how much do the Slashdot editors understand of programming. Why not showing the names of those who reject the stories? Anyway that was the last story I've sent.

See also Keith Bostic's interview at O'Reilly's FreeBSD DevCenter. He is one of the BSDi founders and runs Sleepycat Software (BerkeleyDB - the base for Perl's DB_File Module).
The www.pair.com has good support (by mail and via the pair.* newsgroups) and also CGI (with many Perl-modules pre-installed), MySQL and PHP. No mod_perl though. They use FreeBSD. Blues News and Sharky Extreme are their custommers too.
They are not clueless - shut up my account quickly when I tried to run some daemon. I had to remove it:-( the dedicated server is yet too expensive for me
I run Pref News there - a russian-speaking e-zine devoted to Perl, Python, Java and PHP-programming. 8 people post interesting links and code snippets almost daily. We are looking for more enthusiasts.
To prevent the average user from surfing the Web on machines obstensibly set up for searching the library catalog, URLs cannot be entered into the Location field and the Open Page dialog is disabled.
Use mouse copy + paste to enter the desired URL into the Edit - Preferences - Navigator - Home Page and then click the home page Navigator icon.
Wouldn't it be cool to have an open source IM-client which would support ICQ + AIM + talk (the last could check for online with ping? - of course not for sure, but still...)
I better go to yours

Damn, 8 hours ago I submit a story about Perl Methods being added to Zope and about the release of mod_python 2.1 and it gets rejected??

Maybe it's possible to fight with a kind of Randall Schwartz's mod_perl-trick.

Well the same story happened at Slashdot,
when a story about USA bombing Yugos was
posted and had if am not mistaken over
500 comments.
The story was removed after some time.

Not every movie should be about your oh-so-great country, esp. not if it is about holocaust.
Don't buy this book unless you have too much spare time. I unfortunately have read it - wasted time.

I think you can develop big
programs faster with Visual
Basic
> Java is already the language for Internet programming
Nope, that's Perl!

Hmm... I don't like Matt Wright's perl code.
