    Maybe I am old, but they are all computers, I believe the term you referring to would possibly be PC games, though the definition and interpretation of PC can be an issue.

    Many do, See learning happens out side of school, its hard sometimes to find those who do it, many who get seriously ill do research and learn a lot about their own diagnoses, large support groups exist out their to, these ppl research and look into any aspect that could help improve their lives and are quite often filled with those who *do* know that homeopathic remedies are BS and can talk your ear off about current treatments and clinical trials going on, I have seen this with family members with Cancer and Lupus.

    Unless dealing direct with a specialist, these sorts of ppl can know a lot more about their own issue then most GPs.

    As a reminder, their is so much that GPs and doctors need to know that covers such a wide area that mistakes do often happen, take the 50-100k ppl a year who die in America from having adverse known drug interactions Study Says E-prescription Systems Would Save At Least 50k Lives a Year

    Its worse then that, the article says its 'bound iron' that sounds like its an advanced iron alloy, it might be more advanced than Damascus steel.

    Which is really and odd statement considering how many different versions their are, sure one might be able to say what 60-80% are version X, but still major fractions happen over the translations.

    So the real issue is when you first use a supply of emergency bleach to hold out until your supply of emergency seawater arrives, or god forbid you forget to tell the overnight cleaning crew not to open up the reactor and give a good bleaching?

    I believe he is referring to those who think setting it higher means it will hit the required temp faster! I have known a lot of ppl who do that, they will turn an oven onto 220, so it will get to 180 quicker.. a reverse cycle air con onto 25, so it will get to 22 quicker.. I even know someone at my work who turns the toaster onto max, sits their watching it and then manually pops it every 10 seconds after a minute to see if its ready!

    But the point is they all had enforced payed time off, that is not what is pushing them down the drain..

    Indeed, we have just been fully bought out by an American and this is the biggest fear looming over us, as a division we make up about 1/10th of the profit they make, but we only have about 1/4 of the equivalent market share, and they have stated they are looking to 'advise' us on how to run more efficiently.. seems to me on that maths we are already running 3-4 times better then them and jsut need to expand out into other areas!

    One of the biggest things I lent from the ending of my first job (as a kitchen hand for 7 years), was that if you did not take leave in busy times, that if you came in when you where feeling like shit because it was a busy day, that it would not be notices how much work you did, I was told I was the laziest, slackest money garbing cunt that the head chief had ever worked with..

    3 Months later I was offered my job back, with a massive pay increases and still being eligible for the 10 years long service.. Of curse I was much better off in a Monday-Friday real job.. The point is because I didn't take one busy day off in 7 years, not a single sick day, every holiday was planed around the few quite weeks of the year, it was not appreciated how hard I worked that job compared to the avarage staff member who only filled in on the two quite days of the week - Tuesday and Wednesday.

    And dose coal power include the cost of the environmental impacts? Air pollution etc?

    If you had to cost in a full scale meltdown in the cost, no plant would ever be built. If you had to scale in the cost of a major car accident into every car, they wouldn't be built. What you do scale in is reasonable safety codes that get updated for any new developments.

    But unless its different where you are, its a tick the box and pay the fee event, the 'age' at which you require a doctors approval is still almost a tick in the box too, no real work goes into check on these.

    Imagin if every building had to meet new building and environmental codas, what about cars! the safety standers on those change all the time.

    Their are things that can be forced onto older plants, but you might find that most if not all plants if told they have to either implement new codes top to bottom in the next 5 years or shut down would shut-down.
