Hello from New Zealand. As of a recent law change here, the account holder is the person fully responsable for all traffic on the connection. My girlfriend's name is on the telco accout here and she would be fined a substantial amount of money and risk going to jail (eventually) if I or any of the other flatmates were to download from P2P. I run a pfsense firewall / router and have blocked all P2P traffic, we all use downloadnow (multi access to rapidshare, hotfile, megashares etc...) which you cannot be fined for using and is much harder to track you unless you are already been monitored. This may not be the case elseware, but I'd say it's not worth the risk.

OP Here, I do agree with the above. It's important it gets recognition, Apple should have responded (or even answered their phones!) immediately to the issue. It is a shame to see such a huge problem out in the wild after spending so much on a product that 'passed' testing. It's a right pain in the neck for those of us who purchased the new MBP to convert video etc... and it's the one thing we can't do (reliably)!

Unfortunately it overshadows a real problem. I felt crippling anxiety in school for 10 years (dropped out when I was old enough) and it was a waste of a good childhood. There are real reasons kids can feel this way. It doesn't have to be excuses, even if that was the easy thing to blame my problems on.

Of course WiFi didn't exist back then so it wasn't that, but I can understand how kids would feel awful at school and fine at home.

School can be a very uncomfortable place to be in, and an almost impossible place to learn in.

I second this. I truly wish there was an 'alternative school' option in my area. The curriculum and teaching practices are so out-of-date and out-of-touch with modern society it's no wonder kids are bored and their bodies / minds are telling them they don't want to be there.

I will NOT promote something I do not believe is the right decision however, I'm not going to walk round bad-mouthing management to customers, as you said that would be unprofessional. However, when people ask me what I think of certain software I should feel free to express my opinion, this of course would be a problem if I say for example... worked for Microsoft or a Microsoft shop in which case I would just keep quiet and keep my opinions out of it, but as I said, I'm working for the taxpayer.
