Then there's the irony that the Tea Party types talk about revolution and how they want to shoot people and their protests are peaceful, while what's left of the Left talks about peace and then goes out and breaks shit and intentionally starts fights with the cops so they can complain about being oppressed

The tea party revolution is one to make the powerful more powerful. So they don't get any trouble from those in power.

The leftist revolution is one to bring the power back to the people. So they get a full force attack by both the police and the propaganda machine.

Google has keywords for certain searches. You can use e.g. 'inurl:' if you want your terms to be found in the url instead of the body. They should implement a 'fuzzy:' keyword, to turn on the fuzzy searching. Literal searching should be the default, obviously.

Yes, Google's default assumption that you didn't really mean to type what you typed is extremely annoying. I find that I have to revise most queries with "" and + before I get what I want. That didn't used to be the case.

These days it's even common to get query results that contain none of the words in the query. What's up with that?!

When it comes to old 2D games the Playstation 3 controller is pretty much the best on the market, thanks to its solid dpad

Are you kidding? The Sony style disconnected arrow buttons have been the bane of 2d gamers for 3 generations of Playstation. Anyone who seriously wants to play 2d games on the PS3 (shmups or vs. fighters mostly) will go get a USB Sega Saturn pad. This is the finest digital game pad ever produced bar none. Make sure you get an original, because the clones will break with light use.

    Wayland is a Window Manager

So, what if I want to use my own window manager? I no longer get to use wayland apps? This is why the window manager and display server have been separate for so long. There's no reason to conflate the two now.

So where does the networking come from? Where it should have been in the first place: widget toolkits like GTK+ and Qt.

So every tool kit has to support networking itself, rather than just inheriting it from the display server? Why is that "where it should have been"? Every new tool kit is going to have to reinvent the wheel.

Nothing about Wayland sounds good at all to me.
