...they want their proprietary format back. Another GD-ROM style abortion? Hopefully they don't think that the awkward size will prevent piracy. Sega made the same mistake, until pirates just reduced video quality on FMV and fit it the games on a standard 800mb CD-ROM (old, I know).
For conversation's sake, I am really pissed off that this is the new Nintendo system. I really hoped they would step up to the big boys in console gaming, instead they re-release what is essentially the Wii with a controller gimmick...which is essentially the GameCube with a motion control gimmick...again! I really have to say that this is the first Nintendo home console I won't be buying (it took me a year and a handful of months to even warm up to buying a Wii, but my girlfriend really wanted it). I was the hardest core Nintendo fanboy, I have shelf upon shelf in my gaming room with my mint condition NES, SNES and N64 games from back in the day, but seriously, I've been let down one too many times. It reeks of desperation to sell to the popular market. I guess thats to be expected, sales are what drives any company, but being an over 30 gamer (still dedicated), I feel like the bastard child of the REAL Nintendo.
Oh, cool, maybe I could have it on a portable device and you could charge me by the message (or even give me a limited number of messages for a base fee with insane penalties for going over). A sweet name would be something like Word Conveyance or even Text Messaging! We could go huge with this!
I thought of this using NetFlix on multiple devices in my home...expect locking to consoles/devices in the near future. If you can give out your NetFlix login to trusted friends and family...where is the money in that?
I'm sure everyone will get annoyed, but those folks without gaming systems are likely oblivious to bandwidth caps. You are seem to be talking about the collective/. "us" more so than Betty and John Jones across the street. You're probably right though, give them a "streaming movie device" and they think its all paid for in conjunction with their cable...then comes the banger cable bill for cap violations. Wow, what a shitty world we live in.
Well, I guess it didn't really FAIL, it was very cool and effective. However, it failed in the log haul but gave a peek into the future of personal video recording with small and convenient tapes, along with a small and lightweight camera. Quality was terrible, and the batteries lasted for crap. Oh well, we didn't have the tech we do now. I thought it was really awesome having one, even when I was probably 8-9 and got it at a yard sale. I always wanted the monitor setup, but no stores around here sold them (not that I could convince anyone in my family to shell out that kind of bread). Inspiring and interesting for a little kid to have something like that to play with, could open the world of cinematography or even photography to them. Now, we have the Flip...well, had.
Are you new to Slashdot, or technology for that matter? I'm pretty happy that Sony doesn't know where I am 24/7, have a bullshit OS, or have a gaming system that is the GameCube with new controllers being hacked and modded to death. At least Apple denies, Microsoft find the piracy brings in new customers, and Nintendo accepts. [citation needed]? Read/.
Might want to re-Google the story. People who had Ever@uet accounts years ago through SOE got their infomation stolen too, I guess you didn't, and thats a good thing. I honestly meant my Q key is broken...on my keyboard. I understand the confusion though, I meant that I had to go find something that had one in it, and paste it in to use it as my own. I never played that game.
Damn, I just tired of all the complaining. I agree with you, I thought I made that clear. I challenge you to find one story about this on/. that doesn't mention the rootkit, modded up like its a fucking nugget of wisdom. I'm not a complainer about the situation, I'm a complainer about the complainers. Feel free to use that as a sig, it beats your Yakof Smirnof shit from when my mom was 20.
So that must be why you're mad, your EQ account got hacked? Incidentally, my Q key is broken. Do you know how hard it is to steal a Q from somewhere? About as hard as hacking PSN.
No need to bother, they already have all that info short of the turd. That identifty protection thing is REALLY iffy, couldnt be something everyone has heard of before, just some fly by night company. Thats really going to help me sleep at night. I agree all the way.

To get their paperwork through to start LulzSec PAC.
Yes, the whole world did, Job just made it into the mainframe. Its the sound of his birthcry.

What does that make HD-DVD? Laser Disc? Reel-to-reel? Wait, that format was largely supported, I answered my own question!
...and eat some peanuts of course, you'll need the salt.
I watch FOX News religiously.

If you feel capitalism is such a failure, go live in a communist country.
Whats that, theyre all ghettos? Yea, theres a reason for that.
You're thinking of Cleveland.

I'm Team Leader at my McDonalds...wait....nevermind.
Indeed. Where is my checkbook?

Is the Microsoft link in your sig irony or what?
Consumers just don't learn . . .

To your kids playing shovelware on Wii?

People keep buying the same iPhone, Windows XXX, and GameCube (with motion control - Wii). Problem?
I have to ask, how do you know about the culture at Sony? Or is this some sort of anecdotal thing?
It's cool, I'm getting full.
Wow, AC, I'll be sure to read that.
