Many of the water issues you hear in the news is false. The areas where it makes sense to frack have an abundance of natural gas (or oil). Therefore, the natural gas/oil is most likely already in the subsurface water. But it is fun to blame it on the fracking companies rather than saying that the water always burned.

Your last sentence isn't actually true. Walter White turned to making drugs when the prospects for his family after he died would have been being poor. It was lack of time, not only the money for treatment. If he had proper life insurance, I am pretty sure he wouldn't have turned to making drugs, though the health insurance issues could be many. He was a teacher, so very likely his health insurance wasn't an issue.

LEDs require a specific type of dimmer. Older dimmers don't work with them. In fact, X10 and other types of automation can actually make them flicker.

I liked the popular mechanics analogy:

Legacy dimmers were designed to work with incandescents, and CFL and LED bulbs bear no electrical resemblance to these types of bulbs. Comparing them is like equating an electric heating element and a television set. Both use electricity and both give off light, but that's where the similarity ends.

Your dimmers aren't dimming the right way for LED. You also need dimmable LEDs, which are different than non dimmable ones.
