I take it you have never been to the Hamptons than? I have, and would say that many of the properties there are much nicer than anywhere in NY. Now, just over the bridge, I would agree with however, that area is pretty run down looking.
They mentioned it in this article. Watch the movie. The car always works off the laser 3d mapper, the GPS just assists as GPS isn't even accurate enough to drive by.
Even the recent Toyota issue with engines randomly racing wasn't attributed to mechanical error. The people in the cars were hitting the wrong petal, or causing the floor mat (which always had a hook holding it back since 2002 at least) to slide forward and capture the gas pedal.
How are self driving cars supposed to account for all possibilities. What about those two way cycling lanes in Montreal where you have to turn left over the cycling lane, and cyclists are coming from in front and behind you?
Well, the computer is much better at dealing with this than you are. It has a 360 deg field of view, you have about 120 deg. Also, if you watch the video, it does deal with cyclists, and cars, they even mention a cyclist that overtakes the car at a stoplight and show the system tracking him.
So, select glaciers being watched are shrinking. Your link is just as bad as the GP. Now, when we can measure them all, and average out the amount of ice lost/gained, than that would be something to point to.
Really? Seagate has 44 consumer drives and WD has 144, at least on Newegg. WD has more drives mostly because they have numerous models of same size/speed (green, black, blah)
Seagate is a decent competitor to WD, but pretty much the only one worth using.
I don't know about what GNious is saying, but I have not had problems with hard drives from WD or Seagate in recent history (80GB + Hard drives). WD and Seagate are the top two as far as I am concerned for hard drives. They are both used heavily in all the work servers, and show a disproportionate number of times in desktop systems from HP and Dell.
Maybe it depends on the salesperson. Our Dell guy sold us a pretty decent Equalogics setup, but it may be because we are all highly technical and know what we need too.
Even in the movie he wasn't the last dragon rider though. Galbatorix was also a dragon rider. In the books, there actually comes to be (at least) two more dragon riders as well. I say at least because Galbatorix had three eggs (Saphira, one in later book, and possibly one for a later book)
The books were somewhat better, but I would not say he is a science fiction writer by any stretch.
Not sure about that, but if she is over 40, she might start sagging...
Is Slashdot.org a default bookmark on iPads? That would make the dumbing down make much more sense.
Along those lines, how many tons of superconductor does it take to support a many ton train.
Agreed, though it seems like this thing is a little too easy to "unlock". How would you build a train when a small nudge can make it change alignment?

This deserves an insightful mod...I am pretty sure goatse contains no crap.

Unfortunately, our feelings are very poor at gauging safety. Hence the explosion of unsafe SUVs, because being higher feels safer.
The system includes safety bypass. The driver is still ultimately responsible for what the car does.

Read the first paragraph:

We are still in an ice age based on the definition of ice age.
(her) Lady Ada didn't give it away to you?

Cute, Smart, Inventive...I know I'd love to date her :)
Which is right next to New York? Long Island is where the rich New Yorkers live.

We've also been exiting an Ice Age for 10,000 years...
Snow?
2 inches of snow shuts down my town, and we get that much frequently through the winter.

Apparently, Samsung has demanded the same license fees they ask of everyone, and Apple wouldn't pay up.
FTFY. Samsung is asserting this statement, Apple refuses to pay for the licenses. Nokia already got Apple to settle for the exact same problem.

I wondered about that myself. The only book series I know of from him is D&D like, not what I cal sci fi...
I loved that book. Thank you for all your work.
Yeah, but they aren't from Vega, and are typically so thin they disappear easily. :)
