Not all rights are required to be provided to you free of charge. This is more saying that someone who is willing to pay a normal price for internet service should not be prevented from doing so. This gets rid of laws like "three-strikes" copyright protection.
It has to do with the amount of "premium" service fees you could rack up, as well as overage charges. I totally agree that it was way too much, but they were essentially saying they didn't want her as a customer.
It was Verizon, we were trying to move her single phone over under her name after the divorce, and that was the price quoted. I told them to shove it and left it under my name.
I don't disagree with them charging, but I do disagree with calling it a free museum. When you charge for parking, the word free just doesn't mean the same thing.
I am curious how they determine the OS. Nowhere on there does it have me selecting which OS I will play the game on, and I just bought it from work on my work Mac, but will be playing it on my Windows 7 machine at home.
If you bought the PS3 to play a game, then Sony removed the ability to run that game from the console, how would you feel? The OtherOS feature was something sold with the console, then SCEA decided to remove it, why should these people go out and purchase yet another device to do this? Why is the loss of functionality that they endured any less then the loss of functionality you endured? Maybe you should grow up and learn that your convenience does not override everyone else's convenience.
Terminal velocity can be adjusted somewhat by the position that you take as you fall, and as I recall, the safest position to land in and live is face down, as face up the face does not cushion the impact of the brain, and your ribs tend to protect the spinal column better as they shatter.
Break the law and you can expect to hear about it. The cars were illegally imported, illegally driven, and illegally registered. Would you expect otherwise?
Except your ISPs suck where it counts. We may pay more, but generally ISP data usage is unlimited. There are a few ISPs that feel it is better to rape the consumer than to upgrade their network, and therefore they impose limits. But when I can spend $70 and get a 25/25 fiber link with no caps, I feel I am better off than Australia with their caps.
If I perform Beethoven, am I not just copying what he did? I didn't write it, I just copied it.
Portal 2 shows a release date of April 19th on my Steam account as of last night. I am in the US.
Sounds like the typical Democrat around here...

For my ex, that "reasonable" deposit was $2000. Yes, she had bad credit...
The Smithsonian center in DC is free. I just saw Enterprise earlier this year.
I would say when you pay for parking however, that the museum is not free.
Very good point. Moon was a surprisingly good Sci-Fi movie, it even got me thinking about the "what if"s.

As I recall, there have been skydivers who's parachute did not deploy who still lived impacting the ground at terminal velocity.

The biggest concern by far is hitting the ground.
You could always try to miss the ground, heck, Arthur Dent did it...
As well as Bikini Bottom.
You would...but wouldn't it annoy you to have people visiting your home to map it?
As most likely you are talking about Bush, Clinton, Bush or Obama, I would like to point out that every one of these had at least one attempt.
Than don't use a Mac. It isn't like they have a virus scanner anyways to stop key loggers or other trojans.
You could encrypt your home folder.

Or Obama, or any other politician. Grow up and realize that they are all just as bad.
(woosh?)

the EVE Online forums recently added [eveonline.com] a "native" (i.e. not linked to Facebook) like button.
Did you see the ad for it? It made me choke on my beer. It was so much like OMG PONIES.

I guess they lie in their FAQ, but they do explain why they need that access.
