They are when they are.com,.us,.net,.org,.gov,.mil, and any I missed. These domains are owned by the US as the home of the internet. Now if these sites were.cn or.co or any other ccTLD, then that would be a matter for that country to handle.
According to TFA, in the line of work he is in, the one year break meant he was behind in knowledge and unable to do the job anymore. The silicon industry moves very quickly, and you can become behind quickly I suppose.
I don't think that Columbia had anything to do with this, as far as I remember, it was insulation from the center tank that damaged the wing of the shuttle, and it was the same upper management weenies that wanted to push for the shuttle to land without attempts to examine the damage or repair who also led to Challenger launching when the engineers said no.
How about the money the FBI spent chasing after that crazy polygamist guy (who is by definition no longer mormon, as the mormon church supports following local laws)
I have this mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131274 This is a decently high end motherboard for when it was released, but it comes with a Realtek style onboard sound with a breakout board that plus into a special slot. I had to cease using it, the 60 cycle hum was so bad that you could barely hear the audio over it. This is what happens with the majority of these onboard cards, unless you have decent speakers hooked to it, you probably wouldn't be able to tell, but hook up some headphones, or even a cheap set of speakers with an actual amp, and you will be able to tell the difference. I am not an audiophile, I have worked in the sound industry, but will be the first to admit that my hearing isn't great anymore. Try it for yourself, go buy a discrete sound card at your favorite big box and try it out, if you don't think it makes a difference, it is possible that you have a decent onboard sound card, they are rare, but they happen. No loss if you want to return the card, but don't slam others because you haven't tried, it takes no audiophile to hear the difference.
Desktop? Laptop? My understanding is that HDMI (OMFG what are you doing with one of those pieces of crap?) runs through the sound card, then into the video card.
I tried that on my desktop at home, kinda funny, but the interference got encoded into the TOSlink signal, as at some point it has to travel electrically. I was kind of surprised about this, as I would have thought it would sound good too, but Realtek truly is utter crap.
Customs is tasked with preventing the import of items deemed illegal. Why is someone smuggling drugs any different then someone smuggling child porn? This is what they are supposably looking for when they ask for the passwords to encrypted vaults. In their eyes, they are just asking for the keys to your luggage, it is just that the luggage in this case is a vault on a hard disk.
Thank you, I needed that laugh. After playing Minecraft for 4 hours over the weekend with my 10 y.o. son watching over my shoulder, I have to agree. Now I need to get him setup with his own computer so he can play for hours on end.
It never went away. Recently picked up a Technic book at the book fair for my son. Came with a few block pieces, axels, gears and wheels. Very cool kit.
The Harry Potter series is written towards kids of the age Harry currently is in each book. Take the last book and try that test again. They are actually pretty descriptive books that are written to the age.
Around here we have options for electric companies to choose. BGE (Maryland) still maintains the power infrastructure, but you can by the power from a number of suppliers (most, but not all just resellers.)
The real maintenance costs that pretty much don't happen anymore are engine and transmission. Even manual transmissions with thier much lower maintenance costs still cost a pretty good chunk to keep running, clutch costs around $2000 to replace and can last anywhere from 20k to 100k miles. Engines are very expensive to replace as well at around $7000 if it needs to be replaced, or minor costs of oil, belts, hoses and starter. But I do agree with battery replacement being expensive, though even that can be benificial, battery technology has changed much even with the supression of the electric cars, we now get 100-300 miles out of a battery which weighs less then the EV1 originally had (50-100 miles)
I look forward to the day that a batter pack replacement will put a battery in your car to get you 500 miles on a charge, and it will cost $2k. I can see this happening within 10 years with the way the tech is moving forward.
Oh god no, now I am blind, thanks a lot.

And the right to due process...
D'Argo from Farscape would like to have a word with you, don't worry, his temper is usually like that.
I have been thinking about the children, the officer seemed to think that was the problem...

Glass Fueled? That would be interesting, or maybe the solid (rubber) fuel is designed to melt and feed into another chamber?
I do too...is that so odd?
Wouldn't that be IEDs?

I am pie, or am I mispronouncing the last word.
Then the right hand would fall under the "stranger" for you.

Agreed here, I am lucky if a set even gets finished before they are modding the set, or ripping it apart for other models.

I hope to one day find a woman who would join in on things like that...but I will probably will never find such a woman.

That is the funniest thing I have read today, thank you.
