Since 2001, NASA has used Aquarius for its NEEMO (NASA Extreme Environment Mission Operations) program, to study various aspects of human spaceflight in a similar environment. Like the environment of space, the undersea world is a hostile, alien place for humans to live. Aquarius provides a safe harbor for scientists to live and work for weeks at a time.
"I don't know a single person that doesn't bike because they have to wear a helmet. And I suspect anyone that reports such is just looking for a socially acceptable reason for their lack of exercise."
You probably do not spend much time with young people. All of my friends started cycling because it's hip/cool and only later understood that it's actually a good, quick way to get around. And don't even mention ecology. Nobody cares. Mandatory helmets are show stopper in this case. And yeah.. It did not take long until they started cycling to work daily and started wearing helmets.
So there's this election law from the past. But what if someone uses email and DailyMotion to spread last hour propaganda? Shutting down individual sites is silly. Brazil should cut off the Internet or change the law instead.
Yeah, accident levels will be backup up after a while but you forgot about risk of injury or death in accident, which will be lower with lower speed limits. My choice is idiot doing 60.
So.. Where does your key come from? Most likely ID card.. And how do you know that manufacturer of those ID cards did not have a "backup" of these? How do you know your government does not have these? And then.. again: what about issue of anonymity?
It's not that different but... Flying helicopter is expensive. Flying drones can be a lot cheaper and lead to mass surveillance. This is where I see a problem.
I don't know how they did this but it *can* be safe. If encryption of card data happens on the device itself (not android application) then it should be fine.
Except one thing: payment providers. It will hurt a lot when American companies start using SOPA to block Paypal/Visa/Mastercard payments for foreign companies.
To add: additional mass to move (ie more fuel required) when adjusting orbit. ISS is about 420 tones and fully loaded Space Shuttle Orbiter can weight up to 110 tones (hope I picked up correct figures from Wikipedia...).
what are 'reasonable' prices?
Perhaps prices that other similarly developed countries pay?... http://www.macstories.net/stories/the-great-disparity-in-global-itunes-prices/
Altitude measurments / checks?
The might want to try turbine powered drones. Something like this should be a lot more difficult to shoot.
So what's the closes thing to EFF in UK? Any ideas?

While playing in studio with stupid audio effects we once discovered that reversed delay* of ~1 second does jam speech quite well.
* More like instant reverse playback of 1 second recording
4chan* & reddit* animated reactions plague spreads.
* IANAME - not a meme expert, not sure if these two are to blame for this.

Crowdsourcing for Android based open source alternative and distributing it via f-droid.org is much easier solution than trying to win this.

At first it looked like some kind of prank?
Except one thing: payment providers. It will hurt a lot when American companies start using SOPA to block Paypal/Visa/Mastercard payments for foreign companies.
If I'm in an accident, I hope bystanders have the good sense to mind their own business and keep their hands off of me unless they're a doctor or EMT.
Try sharing your opinion with the guy rescued in this video ;)
My guess would be that they used grayscale graphic display + triple on film exposure of each frame using color filters.
For starters just contact them and ask for a refund + switch to other provider.

I feel sorry for the office/lab below them...
No. It's UIO - unidentified immersed object.

..military grade LOIC or what??...
