With that in mind, why do we put mail in lined envelopes? People do not seem to remember that email is sent plain text. Can be read by anyone. If you do not care who reads it, then why just have one recipient? CC everyone? CC the NSA and CIA? The conversation I share with people is not sensitive, not dangerous, does not contain anything that would cost a person their life. That conversation though, is between the person and myself. I feel uneasy using email due to this reason.
I have had a Roku 2 XS for over a year. I love it. I have bought one for two of my friends as gifts. Set up is as simple as plugging in power and configure network. I use the USB connection quite a bit to watch videos and share pictures.
The role of the federal government is NOT to represent the citizens nor get people back to work. Our local government is our representatives. It is our place to get back to work.
To the point of our tax money spent to a foreign company, sure I would rather it spent with companies within our borders, however, our representatives did not put that regulation in the law. People are in such a push for lawmakers to get things done that they chose to forgo getting things right.
"Only government can afford to think this big, argues Timmerman" Then let the government get a job that will earn $120,700,000/yr so they can have $100,000,000 after taxes to spend on such a project.
Ok.. I read it. This refers to accessing computers, other than your own, without permission. It also covers accessing systems without having the proper permissions to do so. It does not cover logging into MySpace and saying your name is Bernie and your dog's name is Fred when you know this is not true. The reason I do not give any of my real information is due to fear. I am afraid of what a malicious person or group may do with my personal information. I am afraid of what could be done that could cause my family harm.
According to this study, nerds and bullies are similar. This would lend insight as to why each acts in very similar ways. Arrogance can be viewed as a way of self defense. It is the psychological equivalence to a physical response.
Brilliant insight! The comment, "Wouldn't suprise me if they become the preferred physical identifier, i.e. 'your papers.'", is already coming to light. With the near field communication payment system, we will be identifying ourselves using our phone. How long till the police scan our phone in the same manner.... not long enough.
I did this exact thing. Bought the SIM card, put it in my unlocked phone, $50 a month for unlimited calls and messaging. No contract. Not the cheapest up front but at the end of the month, I do not have to worry about how many calls or txt msgs I made.
I REALLY hate the sync function. If it was closer to how Chrome does it, I would switch back in a heart beat. The whole "have one browser open to type in a code from another" is such a pain. I understand the security idea behind it. But I still do not like it.
I believe it has come to the point where the OS is not as relevant as the application. Around 10 years ago, it was all about the OS because you had to tweak it to get it to run "correctly". Now, that is not the case, as much. The most I see people do with the OS is set up a network connection and a printer. If the applications are there, most people will not be too finicky about the OS.
Streaming would be great IF we all could get high speed internet access. AT&T and Verizon both throw these USB internet access items at us, tie them down with small download limits, and wash their hands of it.
The keyboard is sealed. The external ports have covers. The harddrive is easily replacable without taking the laptop apart. I have the CF-19 for it's size but it is too small for some people. There are other modles with full size keyboard and a large screen.
About 70 years ago, you could ask one person what he did at work that day and his reply would be, "Took the hogs to town to sell." Now days you can ask somebody what they did and the list is a mile long. We are asking our minds and bodies to do more and more things every day. Our memory has not gone away, we just do not have the time to memorize something and then recall it later.
For Windows: System Properties > Advanced > Startup and Recovery > set Write debugging information to (none).
This is the file (memory.dmp) needed to do the scan if the computer has been turned off and there are no volumes mounted.
This file gets written when there is a System failure unless the switch is turned to (none).

It amazes me what we get for our monthly cell service.

Exactly! I want faster internet. I would use faster internet. I cannot afford their faster internet.

Actually, you can rent games as well as movies for the same price.

I get $50 a day for being on call then time and a half if I actually get called.
Exactly. The term Hacker describes a person who modifies code and hardware to make them better or faster.
The article should have been about hiring a Cracker. A Cracker modifies code and hardware for malicious reasons.
This is the exact reason why I quit WoW.
