    It's not impossible to make spaghetti with the language, but it's also not that hard to read and follow the logic to make block diagrams, flowcharts, etc from old code.. This is just a guess but I'd bet there are tools out there to do just that.

    I'm around 10 years from retiirement and would happily ride that wave into the sunset. My very first real job was coding COBOL on a Wang VS80 (later we upgraded to the VS100, woo), I'm sure it would all come back to me.

    Thiis is exactly right, it's all about legal liability. Next time you see some asinine rule or practice put in place by any organization, I can virtually guarantee it's there to limit liability.

  11. My anecdote: Tried the knockoff WallyMart brand, it worked poorly if at all. Not sure why as the percentage of glyphosate was the same according to the bottles. The real deal killed everything within days. I was trying to avoid giving big bad Monsanto any of my money, but I needed to kill the weeds so they got me in the end.

    In the six or so years since I cut the cord, Cox has raised my internet rate from a somewhat reasonable $55 to a ridiculous $79 with no significant increase in bandwidth.

    It seemed every other release would break most of my add-ons and I'd have to wait for the devs to update their stuff. Now that they will intentionally kill them all, I certainly have no reason to go back.

    I suppose I could, but there are not-insignificant costs and ramifications that go along with that. Also, I am seriously considering selling the house within the next year or so anyway, the neighborhood has gone to shit in the 20 years I've been here.

    Couldn't agree more. I am currently stuck with them as my mortgage servicer, and they suck so hard it hurts. They screw up my escrow at least once a year and I have to fight them to correct it. I wish they would just sell my account to someone else, but they are known for hanging on to their loans so I don't see than happening. Gahd I fucking hate them.

    There are a few local discount offers that are better than nothing, and once in a great while they had a daily deal for a few bucks off your bill, whoopty doo. I have 100k or so points that I will burn up before the program ends, but I will not be partaking in the new scheme. At least with the current one you weren't required to enroll in their spying program.

    According to the FAA paper, local LE will have no jurisdiction or authority beyond "reporting" to the FAA. Having said that, I am certain that a few Buford T. Justice-types will overstep their bounds and hassle innocent pilots.

    If the playback hardware is accurate, and it's moving plenty of air through good drivers, the only sound quality limitation is the source material.

    Pono can't fix the crap recordings, bad mastering, or over-compression that seems to prevail in 2015 audio life, and that's why it's a hard sell.
