By having the military dictionary stacked on top of the standard dictionary, the system will be able to generate an appropriate translation for the wearer's circumstances."

So hopefully this means no problem with those compensations.. Theoretically you could just stack a 'slang' dictionary or a 'doublespeak' dictionary and be prepared for any occasion.. You just best hope that the people programming the dictionaries aren't messing around with the translations..

Maybe a bit off topic, but I've been seeing a lot of these rounded top designs lately for this kind of device. It seems to me (as an equipment stacker) that this is not the most sensible design. I like to be able to stack my boxes up, and not require a shelf for individual components. Presumably this device would be located by the TV/Stereo, and not at a desk- So why not make it more of a standard stereo component design? Its not a turntable, there's no reason I need access to the top of it. I want to be able to pile those boxes high dammit!

I've been approached to sign non-compete agreements on two different projects - One we both walked away from, and the other I worked on, but they dropped the non-compete. If you have the ability to do the job well, why encourage the client/company to believe they own you? There seems to be no big shortage of work out there.

Why not actually use the X1 as a skateboard deck? put a few little wheels on it and Whamo! Instant Geek/Board culture cross. I could see these things really catching on at lunch hour in the industrial parks. Then you could really start making sparks with that sparc.
