More than likley it will be cheaper here in the US. Based on pricing differences between regions for Microsoft Points, it's looking like about $55-$60. Those poor Europeans get hosed on conversion all the time. Blizzard and Valve are doing it with thier game stores treating dollars and euros as the same or closer in value than they really are.
I was surprised is all. I don't keep up with Kirk Cameron, which is my fault (maybe his); however, the last thing I would have expected was Nazis. I had an Indiana Jones moment there. Again with the Nazis...
To me the book is a very creationist-centric take on evolution. I honestly expected some sort of enhancement of the ideas that creationism and evolution were not mutually exclusive ideas. I thought maybe he was making a reach out to the scientific community that says, "Hey, you can believe in evolution and God at the same time, it's okay". I could not have been more wrong and it made me laugh.
Seven meters just isn't all that big. According to the Earth Impact Effects Program using typical data: No crater is formed, although large fragments may strike the surface. The air blast at this location would not be noticed.
If memory serves me, On the Origin of Species mentions God 56 times and ever since the second addition affirms that evolution is a miracle of God. So I was left wondering how they could tie more God into the book. After a search on the net, I see Kirk is adding in mentions of Nazis and racism... how divine.
I did tech assist for a blind lady who used JAWS (Job Access With Speech), which is a screen reader. It was pretty amazing, she did not use a mouse and just tabbed through everything. I would tell her how many times she had to hit tab to get to a particular menu and we got her internet connection working again.
Leary was very much concerned about the freedom of ideas and breaking the standard mold of what is considered normal. He founded established one of the earliest sites on the World Wide Web, and often refered to the internet as the LSD of the 90s. The total free exchange of ideas was something that excited him very much. I believe he even once stated that the freedom of ideas on the internet had made obsolete the need to use psycoactive subatances to free your mind. This guy was all about avoiding "larval" ideas such as personal possesions.
Someone on slashdot saying that people on the internet don't have normal lives or none at all is totally self deprecating. This is slashdot bro, I would not be here if I wasn't a nerd. I guess maybe I missed the sports section.
I forgive you and take pity upon your soul. I hope you have a nice day and resolve your anger issues. Please understand I won't reply anymore. I hope that makes you feel better too.
I have come in under the pretense of a discussion, not a debate.
I will probably be down modded into the ground becuase I don't think that a home internet connection is required for MOST people (we all know there are always exceptions) to maintain thier livihood and this is slashdot, and anything slightly anti-internet people are going to troll me and mod me down. My mistake.
I don't think the majority of people depend on thier home internet connection for thier livihood. Get me soem numbers if you have proof, otherwise you are just talking out of your ass like me. Those that do, should have a buisness type account and really should not be doing illegal things with it.
The whole "no life" was a joke. It's called humor, I guess nerd jokes are not allowed. Tongue in cheek self deprecation has always been entertaing to me.
What I don't get is he calls me a prick, but I am the one labeled as flamebait. I guess that is what I get for not recognizing that I am not allowed to go againt the slashdot groupthink that "internet must always be portrayed as good."
Actually, I could not do any of those things and the same goes for most people I know. Without clean water or electricty I would have to drastically change the way I live. The difference still is, if unplug my home internet, I still live the same life I am right now.
I live in reality, where I'm not going to be able to bathe myself in bottles of Aquafina and be able to continue to live in my current mode of life. Let me know when you join us in this century and come back from the land of overly optimistic baseless hypotheticals.
I think the difference is that you don't need the internet to live a normal life. Infact it usually contributes to leading an abnormal life or even not having a life to start with. Water is needed to drink and bathe and electricty is needed for at least heating homes.
I've read quite a few articles (esp. on the BBC) about Witchdoctors using Albino body parts in whatever it is they make for other people. So, in turn there is a trade on the body parts of Albino humans due to these Witchdoctors. Sometimes they kill the Albinos, sometimes they just remove parts or limbs. Make jokes but real people have died or been disfigured.
Those might not be "Terrorists", they could be "Freedom Fighters". Those so-called innocent civilians very well could be part of the oppresive regime that is due for a change in the name of liberty and freedom. Let's not rush to judgement until we find out if which side of this conflict is going to bow to Western authority.
It's a pretty fun game, definatley worth checking out for free. I played a trial account over a year ago and came back to that same account when it went free with all my characters in tact.
If you are a melee class, you pretty much hold the left mouse button and run at things and hit them. It's not compicated. The spell casters are a little more involved and if you are playing as a useful rogue, you just hide or throw things until there are traps to deal with. It's still fun and encourages diverse grouping.
They made a nice little noob island named Korthos. It gets you into the basics of game play and has some fun quests leading up to a large dungeon up on a mountain, and of course there is a dragon involved.
It's a fun game and lures me away from WoW when they are no raids to do. I cannot justify paying for 2 MMOs, and WoW still really is tops, but as long as it's free I'll probably keep playing this game for the time being.
The article did not say the price, unless I missed it, but I can say its going to be a hell of alot more than a bit of ink and a piece of paper.
And what is the point? Fingerprints on stuff are already 2D, why do we need to check 2D against 3D?
In order to deal with that human side of things, what we should do is tell the pilots it is just a training simulation and thier objective is to defeat then enemy in order to pass. This would remove any guilt from killing real people. Also, since we all know kids are the best at video games and simulations in general, we could train a whole bunch of kids to do it all for us. We can put them through some sort of battle school or something.

We should just shoot them off, like on the 4th of July or something. Warhead or not, I'm not too picky.
If we are sending it to Glen Beck the question is:
Why hasn't Obama denied he is powering America's future with his secret Communist/Soviet nuclear power? What is he hiding?

Only if you are lucky.

Or this might be why they are not pushing harder for the strikes rule. It's coming soon anyways.

A musical by Joss Whedon?!? That could only wind up Horrible.

The internet has finally reached out to bring unity to the two types of people without a life.
That explains the "brb, have to land a plane" comment in raid chat...
The larger question is, how many of these are enemy planets? I'm going to say at least half, if not more.

It's funny becuase my girlfriend says when I have a burrito it's a deadly weapon too.

I've heard UAV pilots refered to more than once as the ChAir Force.
