more to the point, there is a volume where the net gravitational field (and orbital forces) nearly balance out. Assuming you are near this place, your station keeping efforts are minimal, but not zero as the location of the 'perfect spot' moves slightly as the moon/earth/sun relationship changes. Multiple vehicles can be in the region with similar energy requirements for station keeping.

Your math is a little off. If the density were the same as Earth's, the diameter would be proportional to the cube root of the mass ratios, or slightly less than 2 times that of Earth. The surface gravity is proportional to mass (7x) and inversely so to the square of the radius (~1/4) so 7/4 is about 1.75 surface gravity compared to Earth. If there were a comparable 'day' length, then the velocity at the equator would be about 2x that of Earth. An extra 1000 mph liftoff boost vs 1.75 local g, not so hard to overcome.

And since we know nothing about the planet other than the mass, this is all silly speculation.

At some point there was found to be an issue in some areas of research, and it was ultimately concluded that another similar effort was being made elsewhere in the universe, and the two efforts were at odds. Essentially the math became 'true' instantly/everywhere when it was first proven, but with different starting points/assumptions the two mathematical realms were in conflict. Don't remember the name/author, and I would love to know (assuming anyone recognizes it from my poor description) to reread and recommend.

Of course it is drafting. It relies on mitigating the detrimental vortex effects associated with moving object terminations in a fluid environment by spreading the wasted energy over a longer object. Same as the efficiencies of longer boats in water, and longer props, whether on planes or windmills. No different in concept.

Actually, in most examples of drafting, the benefit extends to the leader as well, reducing the tail drag associated with a solo player. As I recall, the benefit generally increases as you add cars to the train as the lead drag and tail drag are spread over more units.
