The US used to have live musicians at every club, a lot of restaurants, and anywhere else people congregate but once places could replace a live band they had to pay every night with a record they only had to pay for once that started disappearing.
I work in a nursing home and my father is in one and let me tell you some seniors hang on to those ads like they are the god's honest truth. And damn do I wish i could block fox news on my dad's TV to hear him repeating Beck's rhetoric made my heart sink.
Your ignorant. If your poor they call it EBT, if your middle class, they call it earned income credit, if your old they call it Medicare, and if your rich its called tax breaks.
How do you know it will ever work? You're confusing "wishful thinking, daydreams and delusions" with "historical track record of proven failures and almost insurmountable engineering obstacles". You want a distant destination with rewards? Time to remodel our western social structure. But that's too hard, better stick to fanciful sci-fi scenarios and techno-fixes that will never happen. So much easier to cope with than reality! Also means never having to change the old career-suburbs-car model either, too comfortable in front of your Chinese TV!!
Damn and me without a time machine to go tell Da Vinci all those drawings of flying machines are a waste. I mean really hundreds of years of none stop proven failures. He should have just stuck to art.
Consider every organism that's ever lived on Earth. From dinosaurs to bacteria, the number is near infinite, and an overwhelming majority have their entire structures and lives dictated according to their DNA
The number of organisms that ever lived is as close to infinity as the amount of protons in the cosmos. No where near to infinite at all.
I meant to put rainbows. But my point still stands. Because if they could actually run the worlds electric grids just off of solar I'd be willing to drop the nuclear option. But as it stands that isn't feasible.
Well once you create the technology to run the wolds power plants off kittens and sunshine I'll be first in line to protest the nuke plants but till then I'd rather have a nuclear powerplant close to me then a coal plant.
I agree. I'd love to know some good options at that price. I've always thought that if you aren't spending upwards of $100 then they were crap. It would be great if this isn't the case.
And when you sell your physical copy you delete all those digital back-ups you made right? Your not a filthy thief who thinks that once you own the dvd or br that entitles you to your back ups even when you sell your original copy are you?
Oh the dude that got silver in a para-triathlon made for amputees and paraplegics? Not actually winning against able-bodied athletes? While I am not bashing the fact that it is a tremendous accomplishment still doesn't mean anything for our conversation.
there is a thing called genetics I'm 5'7 i could have trained my whole life and never make it to even the minor basketball leagues. I also have short legs which means a short stride which means sprinting is out as well.
I for one am happy to hear this. A lot of people probably thinks this will slow down SSDs move to mainstream computers but I do not. Once SSDs get to a reasonable price (under $1/GB before rebates) I can see them start becoming a common option for computers people buy in places like Bestbuy. Just imagine the "upgrade your hard drive to ultra fast speeds. Load windows faster than ever before for only $50 more" ads.
Umm.... whoosh?
No real rednecks use it as a prom dress then peel off a layer and use it as a wedding dress...
Yeesh, whadda think people did before cell phones in an emergency?
Umm run to a pay phone?

I doubt this or AMD wouldn't be getting its ass handed to it in the CPU department. I miss the old Athlon XP days when they stood a chance :(
No real threat from any nation with and air force we have to worry about?
Building planes designed to be retrofitted with newer technology?
Instead of worrying about conventional aircraft we are spending that time and money reverse engineering the crashed UFOs from Roswell?
Whoa whoa whoa we all know banana is a measurement of volume not of amount.
Unless they exist in an infinite amount of places at once they are still finite.

That extra bullshit is Monster®
The reasons for the Iraq war were just a farce. GWB had every intention of attacking Iraq before the Afghanistan invasion even took place.

Yep that's right just take it out of the pension who cares who many innocent cops and their families will suffer just to teach someone else a lesson.

Most people aren't athletes as most computers aren't HPCs
When machines can beat Humans at the triathlon then we should worry.

I'd be amazed
