Facebook went down that road anyway — either to position itself as "friendly" and "safe" or simply to facilitate Zuckerberg's own agenda — and is now paying the price...
What, a billion dollars? [Puts pinky to lips]
Please, that's pennies
This is how law firms avoid layoffs during slow times.
Ah lawyers... doing what they do best. Looking for a big payout... Are they doing this on their own time? Or is this analogous to browsing porn while at work?
or into the yard of the local registered sex offender?
Wow! You people can dream up the wackiest shit... Look at the bright side, maybe you can sue the game maker for not connecting to the sex offender database and warning you when you approach the property.
They can create and destroy entire economies. Does Wall Street live on its blood? This has to be some gag that's going to pop the balloon, maybe before November, eh?
Those are weird guidelines if they're talking about media polls, and to me that's garbage. Your daily horoscope is more accurate than a damn media poll. The weather forecaster is more accurate. If there is a problem, then you recount the ballots. It's up to the voters to demand real paper ballots that can be counted. And no matter bad the fraud might be, if people don't contest the results, not a lot can be done. This the game they choose. They want to push the button and go home and complain for two years. But they won't lift a finger to oversee the process. Democracy is high maintenance. It's hard enough choosing between Dominos and Pizza Hut.
There is massive public opposition to the TTP and TTIP on both sides of the Atlantic.
There is noisy opposition from a minority. The vote count does not reflect any opposition. Look at who is winning elections all over the world.
Even Clinton, the most corporate owned presidential candidate in history, has been forced to say it is a bad deal for the people.
Clinton (and all the other top candidates) will say anything. Her past history on the matter speaks much louder than whatever she says on the campaign trail now. We already went through this with the health insurance bill. There is no reason to trust them on TPP. They will go where the money tells them to go.
The simple fact is that TPP will pass, unless we vote out the incumbent parties.
They don't have to "know" anything. It's just rhetoric to get elected and stay in office, which to that end is perfectly suitable. Nothing to see here...
I'm still trying to figure out what that means. I mean, has anybody lost their house yet? Even with all of this, a simple divorce proceeding would be much more devastating to any particular individual involved in the case.
Don't know what the hell you're talking about. I'm just saying the Brits are not weakened by anything. Every time the market squeaks, people are going to blame Brexit.
The EU's biggest problem is its overwhelming bureaucracy which is in the business of featherbedding. Unlike Germany and Belgium, the UK derives little benefit. The British bureaucrats (which are famous in their own right) are protecting their turf.
The UK by itself is a weaker entity than when it was a part of the EU.
Not when it has the might of the US military that doesn't even ask, "How high?" when told to jump (for instance, twice into Iraq). Who needs the EU with that kind of backup behind you?
Perhaps their next vote should be whether to join the US. They can still keep the Queen if they want. We wouldn't take that from them, would we? I mean, unless we have to hock the crown to pay off some debts...
The way to do biometrics right is to leave an actual piece of your hand, say a fingertip. Then when you go to the bank, they can match it to the stump.
Yeah, but you're out of the house. PC games are for agoraphobics
If you want to play anything more complex than Solitaire, go to the arcade!

I am not expressing an opinion, not mine or anybody else's.

On what are you basing that?

Nope, nobody on the internet gets my name. I'm "John Smith". I only give personal info in person.
You can sell that guano for almost 20 bucks a kilo on Amazon.
Bat shit.... Crazy!
Just don't use your real name anywhere on the internet.
how does this work?
Like every other bit of political rhetoric. You appeal to peoples' antipathy, and they vote for you.

We were too busy watching SCO go bankrupt.

And obviously they are far better trained on when NOT to shoot! American cops are taught differently

Yes, we are doing exactly that in November...

But unfortunately there was a "breach" the other night, and it's all gone*..
The check is in the mail :-)
*Same MO for weapons transfers in the middle east to the "rebels".
you only get to keep things as long as you keep paying and complying.
Or as long as you have a sufficient supply of ammo.
Can you say "ammo" without being tagged by DHS?
