    Unenforceable; impractical; in the final analysis, stupid.

    You folks still aren't getting it. The law provides probable cause against anyone using unbreakable encryption (like such a thing exists). If the cops can't decipher your communications, they can bust the door down, take everything and arrest you on mere suspicion.

    The sad thing is that these laws are such an easy sell to the panicky and actually very authoritarian public.

    And there's that name, Feinstein, again. Fascism in a dress.

    ?? There's a "terrorism" gene? I did not know that! Maybe you misspelled "tourist", seeing as their DNA might differ a bit from the locals. But it's still probably still easier to just lift the print off the martini glass.

    I see a lot of the crazy that runs against her moreso than I do in the senate races.

    This is why conscription for political office is necessary. The people that want the job are disqualified, by default. And our regular 95% reelection rate only reveals the fatal flaw of majority rule.

    So, I can't use my computer at Starbucks or in the park where somebody might hear it? Obviously a rhetorical question, since I would use headphones to avoid being a nuisance. But it would be interesting to hear 50 chattering computers in the same room, but amongst them would probably be some damn RIAA lawyer that will sue.

    There should be no debate. The state has no right to compel "assistance", any more than it has for a confession, from anybody outside its own employees, politicians, military, bureaucrats, etc.

    Doesn't matter. The future of the party is very bright. His replacement will be no better. The whole "hypocrisy" angle just isn't having any effect, other than revealing another weakness of majority rule. These people could shoot the pope and still win an election. Even Trump has admitted as much.

    Big deal! People in the US, sadly, don't seem to care about the Snowden or Manning "papers", except to denigrate the leakers instead of the revealed acts. And they're not going to care about the Panama Papers during the election either, just like they don't care about the already well known quid pro quo of the Clinton Foundation. Panama was a honeypot set up by the state department. That's why you don't see any important Americans in there. Their money is still in Switzerland.

    Yeah, well, the numbers are on their side. All these politicians are still winning reelection, so the two options are either to vote them out or reduce your expectations. Every little event draws us closer to lockdown. And I don't see a hell of a lot of resistance. We're are once again looking at a 95% reelection rate in November (100% when you consider that no one outside the ruling incumbent party is going to win a seat, lizards all the way down). Thank god for drugs!

    Hey, she gets along with the republicans just fine. Aren't we supposed to want them to cooperate? All this pissing and moaning, yet very few people actually consider voting the republicans AND democrats out of office. Oh well, live with it, I guess. Just don't go around blaming them for their success. Find out why Feinstein and all the other fascists are so popular, and work on that.
