    Did he demnd that everyone support TISA blindly?

    Maybe not publicly, but there should be no reason to believe he doesn't feel the same way about this as he does about TPA and TPP, and there he is demanding blind support. It is a shame he will probably get it, and then next year all those bastards who voted for it will be reelected. Turn your complaints into votes and you all might be taken seriously.

    This is what you get when people vote for bought politicians because the TV tells them to. It doesn't have to be this way, but it seems to be the most convenient for all involved. There is no large scale resistance to any of it.

    The whole point of H1-B/outsourcing hires is to depress wages and benefits, not actually because they can't find qualified people (outside of extremely rare cases).

    Yes, if that isn't the elephant in the room, I don't know what is. It really is so simple, and people waste all their time arguing meaningless little details.

    So, in this context, yes, I'd rather eliminate the vague law entirely than maintain selective and/or arbitrary enforcement of it.

    Very well put. That should be modded up. We are supposed to demand equal protection. These laws would not exist if they were applied to everybody all the time. Selective and arbitrary enforcement of the law does not breed or deserve the respect it demands of us.

    Make it a two way street, and I'm with you. We need to be able to cross examine government records. And we need to stop reelecting the wrongdoers. Hastert is no longer useful. That is why he is being singled out.

    As I said in a previous thread, an alternative plan had already been laid out, so the old one could be allowed to die... with great public fanfare from Mr. Paul, and everybody comes out stinking like a rose. You are absolutely right, hardly anybody sees the big picture. That is what these little side shows are for. I can assure you that if he had any real power, he would not be biting these peoples' ankles. Once you hit the big time, you don't go around tipping apple carts. And it did accomplish nothing but bump up the ad rates on the TV news for a short while. The laws are back in place, as if the NSA needs authorization, and republicans and democrats will continue to dominate.

    I can't go far enough back to provide links, but you have given complete credence to Bush's lies over the wars, and lot more than four Americans are died for those lies. I can only imagine the support you gave Reagan over Beirut and Iran/Contra, but I can be certain you weren't nearly so critical. Your facade is translucent at best. You are just here repeating meme after meme... Pretend all you want, you don't know what happened in Libya, much less why it happened. We all get the same press releases. All the lies are just part of the business. You are only making a big deal out of it because of your opposition to this particular faction. You decry the actor and not the act, very typical of you people.

    Well, yes, you are running a private club. But in public forums, especially those associated with mass media, news, politics, whatever, anonymous postings are a necessary and valuable element. The best ones still allow it. (a nod to Slashdot) And besides, well written trolls are a plus. Anything that forces people to think... Right now most beliefs are based on the appeal to authority and distrust on the ad hominem.. Anonymous posting permits none of that. All that is left is the message. Identifying the messenger serves mostly as as distraction.
