    I always considered mathematics to be a way of expressing physical law. Not really a force per se, more of a language to make it understandable and quantifiable.

    It doesn't say anything about who is prohibited from selling one to you either, yet we have all sorts of laws covering that. If the government can prohibit, it can also mandate, as it frequently does, with little complaint. As long as online payment firms don't collude, they can do what they want. We need at least one that serves all our needs without objection, like a 'dumb pipe'.

    Right now, on the top of Mount Everest, time is passing just a little bit faster than it is in Death Valley. That's because speed at which time passes depends on the strength of gravity. Einstein himself discovered this dependence as part of his theory of relativity, and it is a very real effect.

    And here I was thinking that because of the earth's rotation, The top of Mount Everest is moving through space just a little bit faster than a point in Death Valley, and that's what would "slow down" time. Now if the earth has "lumpy" gravity, would moving the clock to a different spot on the floor would also change the rate of time? Great way to map the gravity then, isn't it?

    Are space and time really separate?

    People vote for REPRESENTATIVES to do the the law making and governing for them.
    Then, people and corporations with money BUY THOSE REPRESENTATIVES.
    Regardless for whom the people voted.

    But see, you left out the most important part, where the people REELECT the BOUGHT REPRESENTATIVES over and over, giving them lifetime careers, because they decided it was too inconvenient to go out and find somebody else. Then they cry about lack of choice. I can hardly sympathize with that train of thought. They reward the system for being exactly as it is.
