    That's a very nice sentiment, and it is true, but you are skipping the most most important step. You have to put people into office that will fix the laws. So your blame is misplaced.

    It is very difficult to control (censor) what passes over ad hoc networks. So it's best for Google to just disable it altogether.

And on the national front they did regain a few seats in congress in this little soap opera called 'As the Pendulum Swings'.     If the DNC had not actively worked against Bernie and he had won the nomination, the entire Democratic apparatus would have put everything behind him.

    Maybe you misunderstood. I was saying that the government serves the biggest 'contributors' and most lavish lobbyists. It will regulate/tax competition (which would include ad hoc networking where running an open wifi is prohibited) out of existence. It must, or the money will go to the 'opposition'. That is how a monopoly prevails. The constitution is just a piece of paper. It hardly merits any consideration in the discussion.
